Sam Edelman Bay Flat Sandals Review

see mine IG reel for a video of this outfit + a little tip! While I was organizing my closet, there were a few small gaps in my closet that I noticed while shopping. I was looking for a comfortable nude flat slip sandal that is a more minimal version of my sweetheart. block heel sandals, plus lighter shade sunglasses for when black sunnies feel too understated. For today’s post, I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share a few findings from the past few weeks that fit the bill.

I also wanted to share a few notes about it. sleeveless tiered dress it comes in two colors. Although it’s a regular size, the xxs fits me as a midi-maxi size dress. Great quality for the price (under $100!) and 100% crisp cotton poplin plus an all-cotton lining. It has handy pockets and a full skirt and feels solid!

1. Feminine Flat Sandals

I wanted a neutral, flat sandal that was easy to slip on (no bending over to buckle the ankle straps) but also had some support. Many flat sandals I’ve tried were flat as wood and felt like one. i was watching these Sam Edelman sandals since last year and finally sold in the newest patented “almond” color. After wearing them a bit more in the city, I can say I’m going to wear a ton of these. They feel feminine and classy with a small padded pad inside. “Almond” proved to be versatile for me, but choosing from the myriad of colors like cognac brown, black and white was tough!

sizing: I’m usually between sizes 5 and 5.5 on most shoes, and when I tried them on, both sizes worked. Since the leather can stretch a bit with wear, I chose the smaller size 5 for the band to fit my feet better.

2. Minimalist Block Heel Sandals

i wear mine Dolce Vita sandals in the summer they wanted something a lot but with more minimalist straps. One of the things that makes the DV so comfortable is the bulge and width of the straps, and the narrower the strap width in general, the more likely it is to sink into your feet.

These Steve Madden sandals very comfortable with an overall classic silhouette and at the same time on trend thanks to the slightly square nose shape. They work well with dresses as well as jeans and pants. The strap that goes over your foot has a small piece of rubber in it and does stretch a bit, but the bottom strap that goes over your toes doesn’t.

sizing: I also tried both 5 and 5.5 on these. The 5 was a little too comfortable on my toes on the bottom strap, so I went with the 5.5 which felt better!

3. Neutral Sunglasses

You know how much I love my black pier sunglasses I still get compliments years later. Most of my sunglasses are either dark or white, but I like to have a thinner neutral pair for softer-toned outfits. I have an old pink-brown pair of BPs that I always get questions about and I finally found a very similar option in this Beige. cat eye sunglasses! Bonus: only $15.
