nuna pipa rx car seat sale reviews

Rereleased and Updated July 2022. After using a few of these items for a while (purchased at full price), we wanted to share honest reviews below! We’ve done tons of research on baby stuff over the last 4 years, so we hope this post saves other parents some time and headaches!

1. Stokke Highchair Bundle

We chose the Tripp Trapp because: 1) it has been highly recommended by many child nutritionists as an ergonomic highchair for proper posture while eating, 2) it grows with your child and adults can use it later, and 3) it is solid quality and looks beautiful and minimalist. We started using ours for ~8 months Nori (see Fig. article on the introduction of solids) and 6 months for Rio. Several readers shared that they have used this highchair for 10+ years!

We lowered the footrest a few times as the kids got older and the whole chair was easy to clean. The wood and seat cushion are easily wiped (we only machine wash the pillow once a month) and we put an apron over the seat belt straps. Make sure you are familiar enough and can quickly lift the baby out of the chair (bib, straps and others) in case of an emergency. After washing, it is cleaned as “sun-bleached”.

The second time I made sure to get Rio’s seat cushion (comes with the baby pack) which helps make this chair more comfortable from a younger age.

Anniversary sale color is storm gray with white tray and package includes baby seat insert, tray and baby cushion.

I bought the parts of our white one separately for full price and I haven’t seen that color go on sale yet. The full price colors in the bundle with baby set + tray can be found at: Amazon. Note that the chair, infant seat and tray may also be sold separately.

2. Nuna Baby Car Seats

When I was pregnant with my first, I wanted to find the lightest infant car seat on the market that didn’t compromise on safety points. The Nuna stood out for its safety ratings, both practicality (love the imaginary/sky cover) and excellent features for baby’s comfort. As an added bonus for us, Nuna baby car seats are compatible with most major non-Nuna stroller brands, including UPPAbaby and Babyzen, using adapters sold separately.

Many car seat options can be confusing, but The newer RELX-based Nuna Pipa RX One of their latest and greatest models included in the Anniversary Sale this year / best Nuna value out there!

Baby Car Seat 101 – What is a Base?

Like most baby car seats at this price level, the Nuna has 2 parts – 1) the seat the baby sits in, and 2) a base that you attach to and leave in your car. The base makes it quick and easy to get the car seat in and out of your vehicle safely, while keeping baby strapped in (and hopefully napping!) See the two photos for a picture of the car seat next to its base.

What is the difference between Nuna Pipa “normal” and Pipa Lite/Lite RX?

The original Pipa Lite is the lightest car seat on the market. The original Pipa Lite CANNOT be used in a car or airplane without a base (which is heavy and something most people don’t want to carry). The original Pipa Lite also lacks Nuna’s signature sky cover, a magnetic sunshade that opens from the canopy. This feature was great for shading our baby during naps, car rides or sleepy stroller walks.

But in 2021 Nuna came out with the newest one. Pipa Lite RXis the lightest weight option without sacrificing any of these features. *usable* in a car without a heavy base and has sky cover. But it’s also their most expensive option, so we think the Pipa RX is the best value and weighs a little bit more.

How about the “normal” Pipa and Pipa RX?

Pipa RX is the newer version of the standard Pipa. It has received a few minor upgrades, such as clasp clips and being half a kilo lighter. The biggest difference comes with the new Relx base with an adjustable recline angle and especially easier to install, more securely. middle seats of a car and also in BMW 3 series cars (using the original base was apparently problematic!). The new Relx base is compatible with all car seats in the Nuna Pipa / Pipa Lite family.

If we had bought our baby car seat now, not 2 years ago, we would have preferred the newest of all options. Nuna Pipa RX.

This photo is not of the RX, but I wanted to show new parents what a car seat base looks like. Many parents who regularly drive multiple cars (or grandparents’ cars) get an additional base for the other car so the car seat opens and closes quickly and easily, and you don’t have to fasten the seat belt every time.

3. Baby Car Seat After Growing Up…

As the next stage car seat from Nuna Pipa, Nuna Rava (Moreover Sold on PBK), mamas was on our shortlist after being a top recommendation by FAR when I queried it online.

The Rava and most convertible car seats are actually *usable* from birth, but for us personally it didn’t make sense to do so. For the first 12+ months, we wanted the portability and convenience of a smaller infant car seat. Buckling our baby outside of the car and then attaching and removing the car seat onto a stroller or car seat base proved far too frustrating to be hunchbacked in a parking lot trying to adjust the straps in a parking lot or on a narrow Boston street. baby. If those don’t concern your lifestyle, this single car seat might technically be suitable for your child for the first few years after birth.

FYI: most convertible and toddler car seats (like the Rava) are 1 large piece and don’t have separate base + seat parts like baby car seats (like the Pipa). They are not intended to be taken in or out of your car for every use.

Nuna Rava (for sale)

If you’re considering this convertible car seat, it’s a tried-and-true parent favorite at a good discount and will be used almost every day.

Last year, we tested several convertible car seats inside our car before deciding on one. The Rava is known for its safe, comfortable, durable and luxurious feel and is relatively easy to set up once you get used to it. We’ve had zero complaints so far and Nori actually can’t wait to drive in! We also bought a second one for Rio to use.

The second most recommended convertible car seat was narrower Diono Radian series as it is one of the few brands where you can fit 3 of them in the back seat! This seat will also be available this year during the Anniversary Sale.

4. Two parents’ favorite strollers are on sale

The 2020 versions of two notable and very popular strollers are part of the Anniversary sale – a single-seater pushchair and a stroller that converts from a single-seater to a double-seat.

This post is getting too long, so I’ll be sharing more information on both of these strollers and this year’s newest features, along with photos next to my 5′ frame for size reference, in the next post!
