We’re having a slow, quiet weekend in preparation for a few busy weeks. I A lot I’m excited for a family wedding next weekend, and then Kevin and I go on a long road trip. I had to order us larger suitcases because all we have are small bags which are cumbersome to pack in multiples. I’m trying to schedule some posts so there are no skips, but don’t be surprised if I miss a day or two.

I really don’t have eggs on my face. It’s a pre-cancerous lesion that I’ve been watching and praying for it to go away on its own.
When it started exfoliating a few months ago, I told myself I was overzealous with my Retin-A. I tried everything to make this flaky spot disappear but it refused to cooperate. I saw my dermatologist on Friday and he confirmed it was pre-cancer and had to go. Normally I would freeze this but this is not a great option for me. When spots like this freeze from other people, they crust over and fall off. But eventually I lose my pigment and a permanent white spot remains. He decided to prescribe me the chemotherapy drug fluorouracil, which comes in a cream called Efudix. I have friends who use it with great success and I’m wondering if any of you are using it.

I also bought a few books that seemed a little less pointless. I have a hard time finishing books that don’t hold my attention, I hope so. What are some of your favorite books or books that you are planning to read this summer?

Immune System Boosting
Someone in our house had a very bad cold last week, and on Tuesday I woke up with the onset of it. With so much going on in the next few weeks, I can’t afford to get a cold, so I ran to Whole Foods and armed myself with some immune boosters.
