Minion Slip Skirt + Quince Silk Review

I’ve always loved the juxtaposition of different textures and cuts, like this chunky wafer sweater paired with a more delicate and smooth slip skirt. Since I always get asked about compression, I used two of my usual stretching tips for this outfit (both can be seen in my Instagram video!):

  1. Because my neck is shorter, I usually fold turtlenecks inward and round them in half for a clean look.
  2. I tucked my sweater into the band of my sweater to create a waist under a slouchy sweater. This type of pinching won’t work with our lover neiwai bra because it needs a less flexible band to hold the sweater in place more securely. You can revisit if you are looking for other ways to zip up your sweaters. my sweater compression guide!

one. Quince Slip Skirt

Use code EXTRAPETITE5 for 5% off the first purchase. I have this skirt for over a year and have worn it many times, but this is the first time I am sharing it as I have mixed feelings. On the plus side, it’s a gorgeous color and real 100% silk at a price point you won’t find anywhere else for this fabric. However, silk is thin and tends to build up static on my legs. Ideally I would like something a little thicker and if I can find it in a color as perfect as this champagne it would be nice to trade the silk for a lesser quality material.

In terms of fit, the length is a little long in the petite but this seems to be standard on pretty much most slip skirts on the market. This skirt has an insane number of 5-star reviews with no one mentioning the silk that clings to the legs, so it’s definitely worth a try if you’re blindfolded! The quince skirt in XS is 28″ long and 12.4″ across the waist when lying flat (elastic).

Here are a few more options I found:

I also wanted to point out that Quince has a few more in addition to the slip skirt. cheap silk pieces. i have one of them silk blouses On XS and it fits me pretty well.

2. Everlane Cashmere Sweater

This Everlane sweater is still a favorite a few years later, but I can’t speak to the full version this year if they make any updates. As mentioned earlier, the neck is a full turtleneck that I usually wear folded up. The length is enough for me to wear it almost tunic style with black tights or leather pants, which I do often. See in some old matches here and hereindicates that the turtleneck is open.
