J.Crew Petite Lodge Wool Camel Coat Review

Cable Knit Half Zipper Sweater

Very comfortable! This half zip xxs sweater has a more relaxed fit, which is loose but not too big for me. It is soft and comfortable against the skin (as J.Crew’s “super soft yarn“) with a medium weight and textured cable design on the front. A half-zip collar can add a touch of holiday spirit over a white button-down or festive plaid shirt!

Fair Isle Crew Neck Sweater

This crew neck sweater is a slim fit style, so compared to other regular size sweaters, the shorter length makes it a nice casual fit for a petite person. I love that this classic Fair Isle print is in a soft, neutral color palette that makes it easy to style whether you want to pair it with jeans or a skirt. Instead of a tight-fitting tailored fit like Lady Day, the Lodge jacket is a straighter fit with a slightly A-line silhouette. The Lodge is medium height and comes from my hips as Lady Day approaches my knees.

After reading all the sizing reviews I have sized it down to 0 petite (5ft tall) which fits me very well with room to tuck a sweater underneath. The Lodge Coat is thick and warm, made from special Italian stadium cloth wool (it has a smooth, non-itchy surface) and lined with an insulated quilted lining. It has an inside chest pocket and a very sturdy metal zipper on the front. A detail I really like is the thick ribbed cuffs on the sleeves, which not only fit comfortably but also keep the cold wind and the elements out of your arms!
