Finding the perfect-fitting bra can be the difference between a good look and a great one. It is difficult for an outfit to be completely in place when the underwear is smaller than the appropriate size, in which case by some estimates 81% of the time!
We turned to bra fitting expert Mila Stojanovic to help us avoid all being in the 81% demo. bravissimo, to get the scoop on finding the perfect-fitting bra.
“Whether you’re buying a bra in a store or online, the most important thing to do is buy a bra,” says Stojanovic. “A bra fitter can guide you based on your size, shape and what you are looking for. There are virtual hardwares where you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own home and then talk to the plumber about options. And if you’re in a store, the plumber can likewise help by showing you different styles to suit your shape and size.”

Knowing your size is really important.
“Your size is the cornerstone of the entire bra shopping experience. if you are doing virtual fabricationIt’s a good idea to buy a few.sibling sizes‘ to try – i.e. the same volume container with a different band size like 34E is 32F’s sibling size. That way, you’ll be able to save some time and have different options to compare what feels and looks best.”
Once you know your size, determine what you need the bra for.
“For a particular outfit, a special occasion, or just an everyday bra to wear all the time? This is important to help narrow style. Need a plunge, a balcony, a sports bra or something else? The end use will help you decide which styles work best.”

Comfort is just as important as style and fit.
“Also, make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and supported when you have a size-fitting bra that seems to work for the outfit or outfits you want. Walk around. To make the silhouette look great, put a top or dress on it. Nothing should pinch or poke you – if so, you’re in the wrong bra or the wrong size!”
