Our casual workwear reports suggest work-appropriate one-pieces at a range of prices.

I lived with Gap bootcut pants for the office in the early 2010s. The fit was perfect, they were machine washable, and they were well over the budget of someone with six-figure law school debt. I was not consoled when they were cut.

Imagine my delight as I browsed the Gap Factory and saw this pair of stretchy flared trousers for sale. They’re not exactly the same as my ex-girlfriend pants, but they’re pretty close. I’m looking forward to wearing this slightly more stretchy version on the floor, but this time I’m buying an extra pair to keep it in reserve.

Trousers It’s $41.99 at Gap Factory – with an extra 20% off at checkout – and is available in sizes 00-20 regular, longs 4-16, and petite 00-14.
