petite girls going out evening wear mini blazer dress

I wore this outfit for girls night recently and I will be repeating it from head to toe for the upcoming birthday dinner! I’m usually confused about what to wear when going out in the city these days, so it was very important to have a go-to set or two that I felt great in. I usually opt for black and I felt on this look – on-trend and edgy but also elegant and age-appropriate – I love it!

Saks is currently running a promotion with code OCTGIFTSF where you can earn up to $900 in gift cards for purchases of $250+, including my jacket, boots and bag. actually there are many including designersfor brands like Saint Laurent or bottega This doesn’t usually go on sale, this is a way to get a little something back if you have an item on your list!

Saint Laurent Solferino Bag

This small bag it’s been my most accessorized designer bag all year – check out the casual style here and hereand I got a little dressed here. I love its size and shape, and if you’re on the shorter side, the strap is long enough for me to wear with crossover straps, which is a huge bonus! I’m still on the side of the classic for the first designer bag. Chain Saint Laurent wallet which is still one of my favorite styles for many years.

Alice and Olivia Blazer Jumpsuit

I have a similar version of this blazer jumpsuit earlier this year and when I needed an outfit that made me feel incredible, it became the “IT piece”. This black one is cut very similarly and fitted nicely on a petite frame with a slightly lower collar. The only adjustment I made was to fold the arms in such a way that it was inconspicuous when viewed from underneath. The romper bottom provides some protection and security when I sit down or bend over a bit.

The cut of this blazer jumpsuit is tailored and slim enough to be worn on its own, but adds a black belt like ours. Arranged Parts belt If you want more cinch at the waist. Here I am wearing a sample of a mini version of our signature belt – let me know what you think of it!

Schutz Maryana Boots

Maryana (Moreover Nordstrom) vs. Maryana Sculptor (Moreover at Nordstrom): Schutz makes unexpected, petite-friendly bots! Being so short at 5 feet tall, I usually try on knee-high boots expecting them to fit poorly, but this was surprisingly flattering and sexy.

I’ve been looking at the original Maryana embossed leather boots since last fall, but the look seems a bit western to me. I’m happy to see an updated Maryana Sculpt come out that better suits my style! The original is made of embossed leather, while the Sculpt is made of suede or leather with a finely “carved” heel shape.

I’ve tried both and debated between styles, because in general embossed leather is less maintenance, easy to clean, and embossed should camouflage scratches. The Sculpt won for me as it was more versatile for my wardrobe, and the material felt a little more high-end and looked higher than embossed leather.

APPROPRIATE: FYI, these boots are pull-on style and do not have zippers. I’m between 5 and 5.5 on most brands and got a 5.5 on these as they don’t have a zipper. The smaller size my foot got stuck in the ankle area, half size big solved the problem. I have fairly narrow calves, and I’ve found that they also fit very close to that area with minimal stretch.

Post-pandemic I also thought I would never reach such high heels again, but I found this heel height to be more comfortable in a boot than pumps for extended use as my foot is securely placed inside the boot!

Here’s what the blazer piece looks like with a flat shoe! I wanted to show this at a cocktail wear event for those who can’t or prefer heels.
