Arti Poppe carrier petite review

given to us Artipoppe Zeitgeist baby carrier When Rio was a baby and I get countless questions about it whenever it pops up! Nick and I both loved ours and still use it (currently for the 22 month old Rio) so I wanted to share my honest review.

General considerations

This is an expensive baby carrier (starts at $355) that many parents wouldn’t mind spending. And if you’re just looking for a good, functional baby carrier, then you can definitely find some for less.

But if you usually spend similar amounts on an item of clothing, handbag or accessory, I think it’s worth it as a high-quality accessory that’s both functional and stylish. I would often leave my prettier bags behind when leaving home with the little ones but would always get this carrier. Besides being comfortable for me and supportive for my baby, I love the pop it adds to my everyday outfits! As a busy mom, I often wore and felt straight tights/jeans and a T-shirt. this operator has taken my simple looks to the next level.

Compliance and Support

How to use: I recommend you to watch their instruction videos on how to attach the carrier and adjust the fit. It took a few tries to get used to it, but with a little practice, it became a part of muscle memory!

For parents/carers: As a petite mom who is less than 1 meter short and with a narrow frame, I use this carrier with the side straps pulled to the tightest setting. If you are much smaller than me then it may not be tight enough.

My husband is about 5’9″ male size M and said it was very comfortable to wear, especially as baby gets heavier and outstrips our smaller carrier. Our nanny also said she would choose this carrier for her outings with the baby and she found it easy to put on / take off.

For the little ones: It has very good hip support (considered ‘hip healthy’ by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute). The design adjusts to fit as your baby grows, allowing baby to sit ergonomically. “M-shaped” position.

It has a padded neck support cover that you can flip up or down and secure with small side buttons. Flipped up in the winter photo above for more support while my little baby sleeps, and down in other photos when she wants to look around. My son loved to be carried face inward and often fell asleep that way!

Quality

The carrier is of beautiful quality and comes in a dust bag and unique gift-ready box. Ours is still in excellent condition so I would say the quality will definitely be handed down for use with multiple children. Entry-level fabrics (including the one I got in this blog post) are $355 and go upwards from there for more luxurious materials like velvet and silk.

New Forward-Facing Attachment

Previously, the Artipoppe was only available in the “inward-facing front-carry” and “inward-facing rear-carry” positions. They came out in Spring 2022 with a new attachment that now allows the carrier to use the front carry facing outward for babies who like to see more movement around them. This supplement is automatically included as part of every Artipoppe carrier currently sold, but the attachment can be purchased separately if you purchased your carrier prior to this development here.

Ages of Use

The Artipoppe website lists this carrier for babies from 7 lb / 3.2 kg to 45 lb / 20 kg. I didn’t get mine until my baby was about 5 months old so I can’t say how it is for the newborn stage. But for my baby at 5 months she seemed very comfortable and now at 22 months she still wants to be carried inside. Personally, in the earliest months when baby was small, I loved using an extra fabric wrap against my body that didn’t feel almost there like the Solly baby wrap.

I would love to hear any input or feedback from Artipoppe owners in their comments on how this carrier is for younger babies!
