Queen Latifah has been in the film and music scene for 30 years and remains one of the most talented, unique, beautiful artists/actresses ever. Can we say iconic? Sure! “A bunch of fat happy women and no crime.” No lie detected. This was the character of Queen Latifah, Hatice’s response to what the world would be like without men. And it’s true now as it was then. Queen Latifah remains a trendsetter. Queen Latifah as Khadijah was one of a brilliant quartet of single black women living in New York City. before it happens Friends or Sex In The City, there was a brilliant, comedic, heartfelt show that did it first and made it better. Cleo In Our Hearts

Despite Set If Off When asked to list popular, groundbreaking movies, many don’t think of it. This movie not only had all Black female leads, but it was an action movie with an all Black female lead, a heist movie with an all Black female lead. She illustrated issues of racism and police brutality in society through the experiences of black women. This point of view is rarely seen, let alone portrayed so naturally. It was a critique of racism, community and police brutality with all Black women leaders. This made it fresh and memorable. To launch Queen Latifah, a sculptural black woman, into the stratosphere as one of these leaders!

Tell me you didn’t imagine Cleo walking through the police army knowing she wouldn’t survive, and you heard those heartbreaking words, “I curse the pouring rain. But they won’t stop with my complaint. Against my luck and the wind.” I’m not crying! (*sniffing) You are!

there are many reasons Chicago It was a knockout musical. But Queen Latifah is at the top as Honorable “Mama” Morton! My eyes and ears were filled with the style in her golden, fitted, ’20s roaring style dress and headpiece, in which she wore the “When You’re Good to Mama” sash. The most memorable part of her performance Chicago, and i love that movie! His character was not a bad person. She understands how the system treats and helps women, but she also expects compensation. While many of us were fighting for our hard work, Mama was ahead of the curve.

It’s Just Fun!

He knows how to have fun and has great comedy timing. Yeah. I have always loved Demolishing the House. Steve Martin was funny, but Queen Latifah threw that movie away. There are so many classic scenes in that movie, and each one is thanks to him. This fight in the bathroom is hilarious and many of us are now resisting this side of ourselves in the face of racism, obesity and other prejudices. The scene where Steve Martin was coaching his character on how to “become a monster” almost blew my mind. What about the scene where he dresses up as a maid with the racist old white lady at dinner? I almost fell out of facial expression.

He Fought With The Typewriter And Won!

Queen Latifah was the first Black, plus size Covergirl to create the Queen Collection with the brand! He constantly presses to overcome obstacles. Queen Latifah resists typography and wants people to recognize her as an extraordinary, Black woman with the spectrum to be whoever she wants and whatever. His story and achievements lead to the next and he is always an inspiration because he cares.
