What to Wear on Special Occasions Over 50?

Spring has officially arrived, and for many of you, holidays are on the horizon. I’ve had a few requests for what to wear for over 50 special occasions this season, so today I’m sharing a few looks with different levels of formality.

What to Wear for Special Occasions Over 50 – Formal

The venue and time of day will help determine how formal your outfit should be, but overall, I recommend taking things to the next level for a wedding. It’s not fun to feel inadequate at stylish events, and sometimes it’s fun to pull out all the stops.

The comb around the neck is a nice frame for jewelry that you want to wear or looks good unadorned. It is 3/4 sleeved, fully lined and bra friendly. This dress is available in regular and petite, sizes 4/6-16/18. I wear a normal 4/6.

The ruffled sleeves are a nice feminine touch and are long enough that you don’t need a wrap on a spring day. It comes in 4 colors, I am wearing a navy blue with a baggy top so small would be better. A forgiving faux wrap style with snap closure at the front to ensure your modesty.
