When old navy they announced BODEQUALITY Released in August, we’re absolutely thrilled! if you can have i missed the news, Old Navy announced that they have integrated the plus size section in-store and online, enabling people of all sizes to shop for one seamless experience. Old Navy will permanently include its full range of products in the STORE AND ONLINE! No longer just expanded sizes online, you don’t have to go to a specific part of the store to look at a shelf or two, no… we buy all styles, all sizes, for the same price.

For the non-plus size this might not seem like a big deal but trust us… it’s a big deal! We hope more stores follow in Old Navy’s footsteps soon, because as someone who has to do most of their shopping online, in-store shopping almost feels like a luxury in itself. (and it really shouldn’t feel that way at all).

I decided to head over to my local Old Navy to check out the new and improved in-store shopping experience for myself, and I’m taking you with me!

I enter my local Ex-Navy and am immediately greeted with a magnificent sight. fitted mannequinswith signage announcing the new BODEQUALITY initiative in both English and Spanish. I have to admit; I felt so good that the plus size models were right next to the straight bodies! Leads the point where all sizes are welcome and all sizes are valid and deserves access to apparel at the same price point!

Before I started browsing, I grabbed a few of the large shopping bags at the front of the store because I felt like I was about to do some damage. (so funny)!

Muscle memory almost got me to devote directly to that part. (large size part), so it was difficult (in the best way possible) to find where to start! But once I started, I couldn’t stop filling my shopping bag with clothes!

For reference, I’m size 28/4X on most brands. I’m happy to report that we have plenty of 4x in stock in each style! So, after filling two big shopping bags, I head to the locker room to try them all out!

The changing rooms were surprisingly spacious and welcoming. They all had a place to sit, lots of hooks for hanging clothes and nice big mirrors for all your selfie needs!

Here are some of the things I’ve tried:

one.Extra High Waist Rockstar 360° Stretch Super Skinny Ripped Ankle Jeans

Old Navy has so many options when it comes to jeans! It was so much fun looking at all the screens and being able to choose the style I wanted! But this was my favourite! They had a fun, trendy vintage look with a slightly faded wash, distressed knees, and frayed ankle skirts. I tried them out with this super comfortable and versatile long sleeve top.

These jeans look great too! Usually medium waist jeans don’t fit my apple shape, but these were easy to slip on and I had confidence in them. It is very difficult to find jeans for my body type, but I can say that Old Navy will be indispensable for denim.

3.Boyfriend Distressed Lightweight Washable Jean Jacket

Speaking of denim, I tried this great denim jacket (there were many different washes and styles to choose from), and I loved the light boxy fit of it. The slightly plus size made me feel comfortable and cool, and it looks and feels much more expensive than its $44.99 price tag!

4.Puffy Sleeve Round Neck Open Waist Midi Dress

This forest green color on this midi dress caught my attention from the shelf and it did not disappoint! It’s a perfect transitional piece for fall and can be easily worn for multiple seasons. The drawstring waist was a nice touch and allowed you to create your ideal fit. You can wear it loosely to add a bohemian flair or tighten it to accentuate your waist. The best part? The dress has pockets on both sides! Love!

5.Fit & Flare Tasseled Midi Cami Dress Women

This dress is a must! Midi length looks better on any length and the harmony and shine of the silhouette is very feminine. The square neckline is very stylish. I can see myself wearing this with tights and long sleeves underneath in the winter! The fabric is also soft and deliciously textured! This dress definitely came home with me.

6.Lightweight Support PowerSoft Longline Sports Bra

This gym suit has been my favorite in all my trying experience and let me tell you why:

When I saw this print on the shelf I thought it was beautiful but when I tried it in the store I fell in love! That’s why it’s vital to have all sizes available in store – because I would have passed if I had seen it online without trying it!

Being able to shop with your flat size friends and family is VERY important; Try and see how it fits on your body so you can touch the fabric! The head-to-toe off-duty yoga wear is extremely on-trend. I do everything from my morning yoga routine to walking my dog in style in this super cute and super comfortable set!

final thoughts

I walked in not knowing what to expect, but now that I have the option to enter Old Navy for all my wardrobe needs, I left incredibly happy! I even bought myself some cute belts! In addition, the immersive visuals scattered throughout the store also improved my shopping experience.

In short, my shopping experience left me with really good feelings. I did not feel frustrated or disappointed. On the contrary, I left hopeful and excited to tell my friends about my experience! This is how everyone should feel when shopping… no matter your size!
