As we wrap up our Plus Swim Week, we’re talking all about plus size swimwear… Let’s talk about plus size swimwear under $100!
Four or five years ago, plus-size women couldn’t get a decent plus-size swimsuit for under $100. But did you know that the average swimsuit sells for $263?! According to this Who Wears Whatthrough the list, “today’s most popular brands sell for an average of $263!”
Damn, plus size swimsuits were even hard to FIND! Shopping was a bit of a nightmare, and Marie (founder of The Curvy Fashionista) was spending ridiculous hours online looking for affordable plus-size swimwear.
there is hope Plus Size Swimwear Under $100!
Fast forward to 2023 and we have a lot of BIG plus size swim Options. Now, our problem is remembering which stores offer swims! And what sizes!!!
This year, we included 1 in the list. plus size swimsuits and 2 pieces plus size bikini (watch out for bikinis!). I love how designers added “peek a hoot” cuts and low-waisted bikinis for plus-size mermaids. Also, I mostly left out black swimsuits—including only those with a really interesting cut or other features!
After all, life is too wonderful to be spent wearing a boring black oversized swimsuit! Take up space baby!! Wearing black doesn’t do what you think it will do (whoo!), so you can live your life JOY at the beach or by the pool, mmmmmk?

I have to admit I wasn’t a fan of the bright neon colors or the ’80s flashbacks we saw this swimming season, but they totally grew on me! Seeing the various models representing swimming this year, I noticed that neon colors look good on all skin tones! I also love to see “flower power” designs coming back from the 1970s and reinvented for 2023!
