Transitional Autumn Jackets – A Well Styled Life®

Happy Thursday ladies. This time of year, most of us often need a third piece to help change the seasons. One of my third favorite pieces is a casual jacket. For our roundup of over 50 styles this month, Cindy and I are chatting about some transitional jackets you can wear now and fall.

Twill Utility Jackets

Most casual jackets have a rustic look (hence the helpful name 🙂 and have a very sporty feel. I was looking for a jacket that had a little grip on the waist and wasn’t a warm color. I found snaps or flaps on the chest pockets which I found distracting. I know that’s part of their charm but still What do we put in those pockets?

This utility jacket is made from 5% elastane and 95% organic cotton and is super comfortable. It comes in 4 colors, 00-18. I wear small. I tend to dress up anything, I will find a challenge with this. Maybe that’s why I never bought it before. Like many, this jacket has an internal drawstring to wrap around the waist.

Denim Jackets

I like to wear denim jackets except in the hottest weather. I have them in many washes but my favorites are white and blue.

A white denim jacket has done the yeoman thing in my wardrobe for years. The lengthening of denim jackets in recent years is useful over tunics and for longer tops.

This Liverpool denim jacket features lots of stretch and princess seams that refine the silhouette.

Knit Blazer

I’m a big fan of knit blazers and stretch woven jackets. I love the look of the build with the ease of spandex. Even though my silhouette is straight, I am uncomfortable in tight clothes. I bought this fringe tweed pale gray jacket last year and I love the Chanel vibe. is back gorgeous green shade this season.
