TOPSHOP stepping into plus sizes? Ah yes! TOPSHOP Curve (plus size line) Thanks to ASOS. Last year, ASOS acquired the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands, and this is the news it recently announced. (29 September) It is part of their international growth strategy through its partnership with Nordstrom in the USA.
We are curious about this surprise too! We take not only plus size options, but also Large and Tall options. first we saw On the TOPSHOP Curve line on Nordstrom as we seek oversized coats for autumn to share with you.
We needed to reach out to TOPSHOP and the ASOS team to make sure we understood what was going on here. Because it is intriguing! Especially since former plus size brands in the UK have given up on plus size fashion in the US over the past few years (We miss you, Simply Be and Evans).

For TOPSHOP and TOPMAN we are getting an updated logo for this new section, landing page in ASOS and new sizing options. While options are limited at first glance, TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will continue to offer inclusive sizing via the Curve line. (plus sizes available in UK sizes 18-28) As well as executing plans to create the Maternity, Tall and Petite collections.
With this acquisition, ASOS has transformed TOPSHOP and TOPMAN into a digital-first business to align with ASOS’ ethos and values. But here in the US, TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will also be available at 106 Nordstrom stores as part of its brand expansion strategy.
Will this expansion include plus sizes at Nordstrom stores? We hope so…

We can expect a special Curves episode soon, offering more model variety similar to what ASOS has offered us over the last few seasons. We hope they also take into account editorial involvement.
