Three Stylish Ways to Wear a Short Cardigan –

Hello ladies! If you’ve noticed a lot of cropped cardigans lately, here’s why. High-waisted trousers and jeans are on trend, and there’s no better way to showcase this new style than to wear them with a crop top. I recently bought this beautiful cropped cardigan and am experimenting with how to style it. Here are three ways I like to wear my cropped cardigan to look stylish and modern.

1. Buttoned

When you want to reflect elegance, less is always more. So the simple and elegant way to wear a short cardigan is to top it off with beautiful black high-waisted trousers alone. It’s a classic look that will take you from the office to dinner or anywhere else that will always look and feel appropriate. Be sure to add beautiful gold or silver jewelry and a pair of leather or suede booties to look professional and polished.

2. Layered Long Shirt

The preppy look with a twist is also warm, so this is a way to add flair to a cropped cardigan. All you have to do is put a long button-down shirt under your cardigan and leave the bottom half of the shirt out. I think white is always stylish with any color cardigan and this beautiful lavender makes a pop. I like to unbutton the last one or two of the shirt’s buttons so that it doesn’t look too stiff. Then I open the collar to look sporty and youthful. You can even raise the sleeves up which is a new look.

I’m wearing this short cardigan with Levis straight-leg jeans. I have two pairs – a black and a dark wash pair that I wear all the time. They are a great fit (true to size) and straight leg are very popular now.

3. Worn Unbuttoned With A Column Of Color

Another great way to wear a short cardigan is to unbutton it with a colored column. A column of color is a single line of dark color worn from head to toe, like this black top + black pants + black boots. When you drape a bright blouse like this cardigan all over black or navy blue or any other dark color and wear it open, the eye will be drawn up and down the middle of your body. This instantly makes you look taller and slimmer! A column of colors is also a very sophisticated look!

I didn’t talk much about the cardigan. This is a great find Drop @amazonfashion. if you are not familiar Drop, It is a popular Amazon fashion brand with trendy styles inspired by influencers. You should check. It has great prices and quality. I became a big fan.

My favorite things about this sweater are the relaxed dropped shoulders and beautiful Princess sleeves. Sleeves add a feminine flair to this classic menswear style; Of course, this lavender color is to die for! As you can see, there is no rule about what kind of pants to wear with cropped cardigans. I’m wearing skinny black jeans here. The only thing I recommend is that the pants you wear are high waisted. You don’t want a muffin top to be worn, or even if you don’t have one, it’s unattractive trying to look like you’re 16 (hah!) Also, it’s better to pair it with a high-waisted short cardigan or top that’s modern and elegant.
