Chico’s Long Denim Jacket

denim jacket

You can find me wearing denim jackets all year round (except in the hottest weather). They are durable, low maintenance and ideal for cold weather. Denim jacket silhouettes are getting longer lately (as I wore above), useful for wearing over tunics and longer tops. you can’t go wrong A classic like this one from J. Crew. You can even add some flare to your typical denim jacket by purchasing one. Like this pearl sleeve from Chico or This is with a frayed hem.

Waterproof Kate Spade Raincoat – Buy a similar look from Eddie Bauer.

Raincoat

If you live in a climate where it rains frequently, such as Florida or the Pacific Northwest, you should consider getting a rain jacket. I love that it’s lightweight and easy to carry when you need to take it out. A great raincoat (like this one from LL Bean) provides protection from the elements while keeping it stylish! From the Kate Spade I wore above and no more. but here’s a similar one from Eddie Bauer.

Trench coat

Every mature woman’s wardrobe needs a classic trench coat! I’ve been wearing trench coats for 30 years and I don’t plan on quitting anytime soon. They’re longer making them ideal for wearing over a dress, but I love wearing them with pants too! The key to a stylish-looking trench coat is to find a trench coat with straight seams and a belt that fits in the right spot on your torso. Because they are so timeless and classic, a quality trench coat will serve you for years. Both of the above trench coats are sold out, but this double-breasted, tailored-fit alternative from Ann Taylor is a great alternative. me too I love this one from Amazon!

Faux Suede Moto Jacket (Similar Style)

Moto Jacket

Another great option for milder winter weather is a moto jacket! I really like the asymmetrical front zipper look that many offer.Like this one from GUESS. Leather and faux leather moto jackets can sometimes have a harsh look, I avoid this, so I like to find alternative materials.

The one I wore above (now only available in navy) it’s super soft, ultra suede, and it turns down sharpness because it lacks shine. you can find similar neutral color version is here. I think it looks sleeker and softer than leather (fake or real) and the lack of shine suits most women’s complexions better. If you love the cut and fit of a moto jacket but aren’t a fan of suede or leather, this is a wool version. I like it too this suede version which I found has sherpa exposed on the collar and sleeves!

Jackets for Colder Weather Climates

Halogen Faux Fur Jacket: SOLD – Similar look from Kate Spade

Faux Fur Jacket

Faux fur jackets add glamor to any outfit. The downside is that the fur adds visual weight to your torso. To combat this, I like to look for stitches to help thin out like the one I wore above. That jacket has been sold, but take a look at this jacket with the same diamond stitching that I love. Similarly, this textured faux fur jacket from Nordstrom has striped seams that help keep the material from bulky. Buttons, hoods and zippers make fur jackets and coats look more casual and sporty, it’s more like the casual wired version.

Bernardo Ecoplume Walker Coat on Plus

Long Inflatable Jacket

Inflatable jackets can make you look like a hot air balloon if they are not designed well. and this too You’ve seen me wear it many times. Last time I wore it on our trip to Lake Tahoe. This inner vest look section is a removable zippered apron that you can use for an extra layer of warmth or unzip the outer zipper while warming up. You can also open and remove these vest panels. If you are looking for a more comfortable hedgehog, Check out this gorgeous quilting option from J. Crew or this is water resistant belted one it’s on sale!

Land’s End Quilted Roll-Up Long Coat

Retractable Long Coat

If you live in a warmer place but find yourself traveling to a colder place, you know how frustrating it can be to pack a thick winter coat in your suitcase. Have you ever tried Gatherable down coat like this one from Land’s End? It’s surprisingly compact and folds up to fit in a small travel bag, making it the best space saver! Here’s another version of the Bernardo that can be folded into a backpack, great for hiking or exploring.

Long Wool and Faux Leather Moto Jackett

Wool Coat

Wool Coats are one of those essential wardrobe items that seem to have been around since the beginning of time, and for good reason! They’re classic and warm and complete a look without competing too much with your outfit or accessories. You can find them in many colors ,Like this one from Calvin Klein with a choice of 11 colors! It is up to you to choose a neutral tone or a brighter color that will stand out a little more in the dreary winter weather. It doesn’t get cold very often where I live; i like to choose an unlined version like this one. I also love wool mixed with other materials for a fresh look. as I wore above.

Leather jacket

Leather jackets are not my go-to, but without them it wouldn’t be a real round-up. I think they look very nice to other people, but I don’t like them myself. A classic leather jacket like this one from Nordstrom something you can find in your closet for years because the style has stood the test of time over the past few decades. If you want to add a touch of traditional leather jacket, I love the look of this faux quilted one from Chico’s. aspect the length and cut of this elongated version is good.
