Ted Baker Wool Jacket

I have the navy version of this coat many years ago (original review here) and it is one of the pieces that make you feel instantly shining on jeans, a dress or a workwear. Ted Baker offers this style of jackets in different lengths each year (one mid thigh length), colors and fabrics, but will usually always offer in this medium weight wool blend. Collar can be worn flipped up or down (attached with magnets on the coat). The cut is small in my opinion and I find the “Ted 0 / US 2” to fit the 00 normal more in other brands. To me the 0 has a tight fit on my shoulders, torso and waist and just needs shortened sleeves for a petite frame.

I had originally planned to wrap my navy blue jacket but I never came close to that and I am VERY thankful I didn’t! In my 20s, I was fully knee-length or above, so a few of my mid-length outfits, including some extravagant items, were destined to go shorter. I wish I could reverse this, now I see how flattering longer hemlines can be. It looks knee-length on rose style models but almost hits my lower calves (I’m 5′ tall). Currently about 2 inches taller than my ideal height, but I won’t stretch the edge just in case my tastes change again next year!

Express Boots

These boots remain a favorite and surprisingly comfortable, given how high they look. They’re currently on sale for 50% off (under $40) in both black and cognac!
