Talbots March Collection Session Trial

Good Friday ladies I was in the mood for a little wardrobe refresh this week and took advantage of the 25% off Talbots. The sale runs until Monday, so you might want to take a look. While I was there, I also made a dressing room diary to share some of the other things I found for a Talbots March Collection session tryout.

For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall and weigh around 138lb with broad shoulders and straight hips. I have a long torso and arms so I usually buy one size larger. I’m trying on clothes in shapes I’m telling you what sizes I’m wearing to help you understand how things work.

Talbots this charming cardigan in a fun new pattern for every collection. I like that they can be worn covered like a top on their own. This is a small and very fitting miss on me as it sits so close to the body. this twill field jacket It is a wonderful spring sheet. Long enough to cover your back with a casual flair. Misses come in 2 different colors, petite, plus and petite. I’m wearing a little miss.

These stovepipe jeans are a new shape this spring. They have fuller wider legs than straight jeans and are cropped. Its rise is slightly above the waist. I wear a misses 8 to make them look taller than they should be. They’re also a size too big for me, so they run the TTS.

This classic, 100% cotton tee is also available in a raspberry colour. I am wearing Indian ink (deep navy blue). It has no stretch feature. The inner collar and cuffs feature a contrasting floral fabric to show when you turn the color off and turn your cuffs back on. I’m wearing a little miss.

i dealt with it fun lace up sweater with sea air. Nautical is a big trend for spring and a common theme in preppy styles. This rope is big, so it gives the fun sweater an almost campy vibe. I am wearing indigo and it has 3 other shades. I’m wearing a little miss.

I’m wearing it with these modern ankle jeans Meridian is very forgiving in the wash but thinner than a stovepipe. It is a high waisted cut that is slim through the thighs and has a comfortable straight leg. I’m wearing 8 minion showing the intended length. There is lighter wash hereand here is whitewhich is in my cart.

Here are the same jeans beautiful sleeveless shell with a small ruffle at the neck. Viscose is airy and soft. It is in ivory and rattan colour, also in black and ivory. I’m wearing a big miss that’s too big because it runs TTS.

Both ribbed jackets are in harmony with the print and give a different feel. this jacket on the right is boxier and shorter. It’s 100% cotton with stylish epaulettes and hidden buttons in its four flap pockets, so it has a handy feel. It comes in 3 colors. I wear ivory in small misses.

The Talbots make this iconic, best-selling visor in fresh colors each year. This raspberry is a show stopper with timeless details like faux horn buttons, storm flaps, and epaulettes. Showy princess stitches give it a beautiful shape and the fabric is water resistant. I’m wearing a petite plus size that’s a bit too big for me so it works the TTS.

RECEIVE SHIPMENT

this polka dot perfect shirt and the vest came home with me. I own several of their “perfect” shirts, both plain and printed, and love how versatile they are. Non-iron fabrics rarely require retouching. This color is a complete departure from the norm for me, but the polka dots are a perennial favourite. The vest is so soft, I just loved the fresh combo. waistcoat It also comes in 4 beautiful spring colors. I bought this small rather than petite medium size because my torso is long and the slight waist shaping in petite is too high. The difference is it’s only 1 1/2″ long but I felt the fit was more important.

These checked pants The cutest things I’ve seen for spring. I’m usually not looking for sweets and preppy isn’t my regular mood but something about them spoke to me. Only a few sizes left so they are selling fast. One review reported that they run big, which may be true because these are 8 regulars and I wear 6. I think these pants can be fun with a black crew neck and black loafers. Black would tone down the sweet color and the shapes would stay in tune with the classic, prep vibe. Hmm… I might order to see these.

Having trouble finding nice white jeans for her full hips, a reader asked what style she should be looking for. These would be great! They are comfortable full legs with a straight cut and allow a lot more room in the thighs without slacking in the hips. they are ankle length these high waisted straight leg white jeans having a straight, thinner leg.

This hot pink denim jacket jumped into my hand. I love a great classic and this unexpected color is fun. It also comes in two different colors. I wear a miss in an environment that gives extra room to layering.
