Spring Trial Session at Loft

Good Friday ladies. I’m still in Mexico but I know you love DRD so I stopped by the Loft before I left. Many of you have asked me to try on the clothes I found on the models, here you go. I was in a hurry so I didn’t reshape this look but it would have been easy to do. I have a spring test session at the Loft today.

This denim jacket is called trucker style. Trucker jackets are worn over the shoulder and fit snugly to the body, often shaped by two slanted (or “V-shaped”) seams that run from the breast pocket to the waist.

And now to the trial session. If you’re new here, welcome. A dressing room diary, when I walk into a store and try new products so you can see what it looks like on a woman over 25. For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall and weigh around 138lb with broad shoulders and straight hips. I have a long torso and arms so I usually buy one size larger. I’m trying on clothes in shapes I’m telling you what sizes I’m wearing to help you understand how things work.

This Lou & Gray sweater is a light and airy cotton blend. It comes in sizes XS-XL, I sized it medium to keep it loose and saggy. Looking for jean alternatives, tried many chino last week. These thin chinos They’re 97% cotton/3% elastane, so they’re cool to wear and keep their shape. These are available in 9 colors, regular, petite and also in a curvy cut. I’m wearing 8 minion which is pretty loose so they run TTS. They are worn at the hip and have a slender thigh.

Regulars come with a 10 1/2″ rise and a 26 1/2″ inseam. Petite has 9 7/8″ inseams and 24″ inseams. This little difference makes a big difference to me and maybe you too.

This chambray dress comes with a belt which I will replace with something. like this or in this navy. It looks good without a belt too because the lightweight shirt hemline gives it some shape. It comes in regular, petite, and tall in sizes XXS-XXL, so if you want a little taller, opt for the tall one. I’m wearing it in a normal environment so it seems to run TTS.

This Pocket tunic sweater is long enough to be worn over leggings. A saggy shape with field sleeves in a light knit. It comes in 3 colors, normal and petite, XXS-XXL. I wear the regular one in an environment that looks tighter on the torso than I expected, so I think it works fine. These ribbed trousers have a denim style and lots of stretch. They come in 6 colors. tidy, petite and curvy. These 6 regular dazzling olives.

Riviera skinny pants come in tons of colors and patterns in regular, petite, and curvy sizes from 00-18. This pair of flowers is regular at 6, so I think they fit pretty well for their size. They are slender throughout the hips and thighs, with a semi-slender leg. They fit your natural waist (mine too) and are machine washable.

This classic half nautical shoulder button-up sweater is super soft and lightweight. It comes in 3 colors in sizes XXS-XXL. I wear small so it runs TTS.

Here are 3 of these color options Munroe Slim Chinos, all in regular size 6. I prefer this length over me and it gives me more height than petite. The V-neck sweater is medium weight 100% cotton and feels great against the skin. The loose shape is hip-length so it can be worn with chino etc. It is not too bulky to wear with. The V-neck cardigan is also 100% cotton, making it perfect for spring. It also comes in 3 colors, XS-XL. I wear a medium size cardigan with a hump, just the kind of thing I love.

I’m in the cotton pants market this spring, so chinos are at the top of the list. are you wearing them? What are your favorite brands?
