many of you enjoyed last week’s splurge or savings outfit I thought it would be fun to make another one, and I think I have a tough one. I firmly believe that great style can be found at all price points… if you know where to look and how to pull yourself together. I’ve seen tacky clothes that cost a fortune, and budget clothes that look like a million dollars. So, let’s see how to make these two extravagant or thrifty white denim outfits that we’ll both happily wear.
This look starts with a great pair of white jeans. The secret to finding your best pair is choosing a style and shape that suits your body. In white jeans, it’s often helpful to go one size up and look for the most opaque ones. It’s a great starting point for many stylish looks throughout the spring and summer. I’m wearing these now thin shorts under all my white jeans.
I added a faded chambray shirt that has been the staple of my own wardrobe for the year. I prefer lighter washes when the weather gets warmer and this usually goes hand in hand with a lighter fabric.
A pair of slip-on sandals (both rated as very comfortable), a basket tote, two-tone hoop earrings and rectangular tortoiseshell sunglasses complete the look. This outfit would be great for running errands, shopping at the farmer’s market, or wherever a casual day takes you.
