Smoking Jeans For Spring 2022

Good Friday ladies If you’ve read me for a long time, you’d know I’m a denim lover from start to finish. When I take a look in my closet it shows that it is the number one item, I will never need more. And yet… I’m constantly putting new denim shapes in my wardrobe because I like to stay current and the shape of the modern is always changing. This spring I am focusing on smoking jeans.

These spring denim trends are what we’ve seen and worn before. We’ve all heard that tight jeans are resting, and I happily jump on that train because, frankly, they don’t feel very comfortable to me. Many of you are still fans and I encourage you to wear things that fit your shape and are beautiful. Straight and cigarette jeans are on my radar because I don’t have to deal with legs when I stand up and that makes them more effortless.

This is the Pistola brand happy new discovery for me. It is a premium denim label designed in California with the guiding principle that high quality denim is available for everyone. I also find the prices much more affordable than many other premium brands that my budget likes.

This style is a long-time favorite smoking leg. Unlike straight legs, the cigarette has a slender shape that is straight from the knee to the hem and stops at the ankle. It can be straight cropped, ankle or full length. Cigarette shapes may also tend to sit a little more on the thigh area.

These have a front rise of 11 inches; 16″ back rise for excellent bun top control and 26 1/2″ inseam. For someone taller than me, the ankle length is high, which is great when the temperatures warm up. This style has almost sold out since I got mine 2 weeks ago, so I’m not the only one resetting cigarette shapes this spring. I wear 28 so this brand sticks to its size.

this everyday cardigan Another happy addition to my wardrobe because it’s a great cool-toned neutral that goes with everything. Cardigans are the perfect layering during shoulder seasons. This merino blend works for me almost year-round because it’s so light and drapes well. It comes in 5 colors this season. I’m wearing the little Tan Cobblestone, it’s a great fit for my shoes and not surprisingly my graying gray hair.

I layered on it Halogen Raw Edge Tank in a cloud of ivory, a soft, cool-toned white. A great layering piece that comes in 6 colors and 3 prints in XXS-16W sizes. The high/low hemline of this tank has a beautiful look that looks tucked over your pants or worn. The chiffon hem detail piece adds a soft feminine look to an otherwise basic tank that’s great for layering.

these wedge shoes It comes in 3 colors and super comfortable. I bought them in black a few years ago and they’re almost worn out! Eileen Fisher shoes they are super comfortable and have increased shelf space in my closet. Luckily I have a low wedge with a contemporary look that bypasses my bunion and is comfortable on my feet for long hours.

This Stone shade is a dead ringer for my hair these days, making it one of my perfect neutrals. Shoes in the color of your hair go with everything you wear because it suits you. Instead of bumping into your feet, they make the eye move up and down your silhouette.

Breaking news… Pearls are the trend of spring! Such statements make me smile because pearls are always in fashion for me. I like to wear them in modern settings this is David Yurman cable braceletbut honestly I have never met a pearl that I didn’t like whether it was real or fake.
