Short Jeans Proportions – A Well-Styled Life®

Happy Tuesday ladies. When I made a quick stop at the mall late yesterday, I made my way to the car of a woman wearing a long black and white striped shirt and white tan and wide-legged white linen crop top. Her short black hair was covered with a white baseball cap and she was wearing bright red lipstick. She looked cool as a cucumber, cute as a button, and extremely stylish. I see cropped trousers everywhere I look these days, so when I saw this showcase, I decided to remodel the outfit and play with the proportions of cropped jeans.

BTW- I guess this necklace A misfire with this outfit. Visually too chunky and stylish for this casual look.

This is square neck shell top It is crisp cotton with beautiful, cheerful colors with a tiny metallic thread running through it. It has bra strap matching shoulder straps and the hip length is perfect for wearing unzipped. In fact, it looked awful when I put it in.

FYI- the first review on the website complains that the stripes don’t match at this top. Of course they won’t, because they can’t! Front yellow plain and corset fabric politely gathered to relieve the pressure! Please read product reviews with a critical eye.

I’m here in the outfit that the model is modeling. Straight leg short jeans they are in a very pale wash that is perfect for summer and coordinates beautifully with the top.

Despite those cropped legs they’re flat, i know i won’t wear this length so i tried the top these modern ankle jeans. I prefer this ratio on me as it elongates my silhouette. Also, I prefer crops to be washed paler than darker jeans as the transition is softer.

Then I replaced it with a button front striped shirt at the very edge of the blues. The top on the right is longer and should not theoretically improve cropped jeans proportions, but it does lengthen the look as it creates a column of color with soft blue crop tops. There is less body extension with dark wash ankle jeans but my legs still look longer.
