In Shapermint’s effort to make social media a more positive and welcoming space, the campaign features a diverse group of women embracing their shapes and standing out in raw, unedited images shot by the celebrity photographer. ashley batz.

“AA proponent of inclusivity for both my team and those in front of the lens, partnering with Shapermint on this shoot and the ethics of self-love were a natural fit.” said Ashley Batz, Photographer and Director. “When we’re truly inclusive in the art we make, we create opportunities for women to see themselves in images circulating around the world and invite us to feel beautiful in our own skin.”

They did not stop there. Shapermint surveyed a diverse group of 3,000 women to reveal how social media and edited photos can affect body image. The survey results revealed that 61% of women want to see more unedited photos on social media, but only 6% are determined to stop editing their own pics.

These findings suggest that forgetting the urge to regulate can be difficult, but not impossible, and it’s up to brands to spearhead this accusation and show that there is so much beauty in these so-called “flaws.”

Shapermint also hopes to empower women on social media to step into self-love and celebrate self-esteem with its new “Perfect Shape” Instagram filter. But this is not your typical filter! This “unfiltered” doesn’t alter or alter your appearance and instead provides positive affirmations to remind women to embrace their natural and authentic selves.

Why did Shapermint decide to develop this campaign?

Since its inception, Shapermint has always aimed to instill confidence and embrace body positivity through its product offerings, brand communications and the partners we work with. With our continued commitment to promoting body positivity in 2022, we launched this campaign to invite our customers to step into self-love by promising to be at the center of both their photos and their lives this Valentine’s Day and beyond. We want our clients to love themselves and fully embrace their raw and true selves.

How will the Step To Love Yourself Campaign help women embrace their true beauty?

We hope this campaign inspires women of all shapes and sizes to love their natural features and proudly embrace their bodies. It was important that we showcase a diverse group of models for our campaign images, so we chose to use a mix of professional models and women who are part of our Shapermint Ambassador Program to celebrate and celebrate all body shapes. Social media is a more positive space.
