Reshaping a Wide Leg Pants Outfit

Happy Tuesday ladies. (To be more successful behind the scenes) It’s only been a week since I said I’d be blogging Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I’m back already. I did a fair amount of work during that day off, but after that, it’s safe to say there will be some days when I don’t show up in your inbox. I can’t say for sure what days it will be, but don’t be surprised when it does. Today I am reshaping a wide-leg pant suit.

I was returning a t-shirt that didn’t match the color I needed when I saw this mannequin yesterday.

I like wide leg trousers but they wondered about their best choices. When I checked the tag, I saw that the pants were almost folded in half from the back and heavily fastened.

Here I am in the outfit. There is no problem in every piece, but I did not like the frilly sleeves on me, so I looked for alternatives.

I’ve always loved black with this sage green hue, so I tried this button, it’s soft bunker tank It has a drawstring running at the waist. Wide-leg trousers have a better length and a tighter fit, a better shape.

Here I tried in a more structured way, sweetheart neck ribbed sweater with a wide square neckline. I love the contrast of a wide leg knit.

Then I tried some color this is Nic&Zoe top and their 4-pack Convertible Cardigan. The colors in the tank are strong for sage green, but the soft cardigan softens it. I also love the visual weight that the tank and cardigan provide.

Would you look at this mannequin twice?
