Red, White, and Blue Dressing Room Diary

It’s never too early for spring-inspired red, white and blue outfits, so I’ve got it for you today.

If you’re new here, welcome. A locker room diary when i go to a local store to see what’s new and show you what this looks like on a woman over 25. I have broad shoulders, straight hips, a tall torso and long arms. I usually buy one size bigger on the top. You will see that I try on clothes in colors and shapes that may or may not like me because I want you to see what’s in store and get some style ideas. To help you understand how things work, I’ll tell you what sizes I wear.

I have this little fringed jacket It is pale gray (Sugar Cookie) in color and I love it. This is navy blue, I think I like it more. They come out in new colors all the time with this jacket, and for good reason. It is a lightweight cotton blend that goes with many things. Plus size here in other colors.

These NYDJs have a straight leg and come in 4 washes. I folded the bottom under about 2″ because I’m better with minions. They come in sizes 00-18, petite 00-18P, and long 0-18. Plus size is here and here in various washes. At NYDJ I always recommend going one size down because they stretch as you wear them. It has a blouse, a criss-cross front, and a coat that is intended to be worn over trousers or jeans. It comes in 00-20W sizes and Plus sizes are here.

This polo-neck sweater is available in 4 colors, XXS-XXL. It is a textured rib that lays flat and hides lumps and bumps. I like that the V-neck has a modest depth. I paired it with this flat facade, straight leg pants my favorite tummy slimming side zipper. I wear navy blue and they also come in black. plus size is here. This is a great spandex machine washable pant that travels well and wears up or down.

This is an abstract printed blouse It has a 3-button cuff in a medium weight crepe with beautiful draping. It comes in 00-20W sizes and plus size here. It’s described as gray, but I see a soft, cool-toned blue along with a soft white. I think it would be very nice with white jeans or trousers for spring. These Wit & Wisdom Itty Bitty bootcut jeans which sleeps beautifully. They have sizes 00-18 with 32″ inseams so I need shoes or boots with these. I love the fit and shape of this jean, then it expands slightly to go over shoes. Plus size is here.

Another great polo knit sweater available in 4 color options in sizes XXS-XXL. I’m wearing it on These are NYDJ white Marilyn straight jeans. They come in sizes 00-18, Petite and Plus size is here. My shop didn’t have a minion so I’m showing the normal size and converting the gold to 2″. As with all NYDJs, I recommend going one size smaller because they stretch when you wear them.

This little cropped denim jacket It looks so cute on a casual dress. The bottom is slightly frayed, which makes it a little more supple and softer than other jean jackets. I’m wearing it over a red and white striped tee with blue pants for spring weather. T-shirt It comes in several solids, several prints and this fresh red and white stripe. 00-18 sizes are available. Chinese A nice classic shape in 4 colors with 3% elastane. These provide a nice and comfortable fit with a straight leg.

this striped sweater It has a fun sea atmosphere with its 3 colors. The bateau neckline isn’t my flattering shape, but it’s great for women who need to add width to the top of their silhouettes. Paired with the same Caslon cotton stretch chino As above, this time classic white. This whole look feels so spring-like.

It knit halogen blazer Made of comfortable cotton knit with a flowy wing collar. It has a high sweatshirt feel and is super comfortable. The shirred waist and side pockets give me the illusion of no waist 🙂 Available in 3 colors this season, including navy blue with white stripes. I think I could go down a size down so I ordered it because I think it will be great for my trip to Florida next month. It comes in sizes XXS-XXL and plus size here in navy.

Navy and white is a favorite spring combination. Adding some red looks so natural that I may need to add some to my wardrobe 🙂 Are you ready to see the spring fashion?
