Petite white linen pants + neon yellow blouse

Boston’s 80 degree weather this week put me in a summer mood! As my wardrobe is getting more and more neutral, this time of year I like to work with some color. Neon yellow is actually one of my favorites that used to appear regularly on the blog! Growing up, I was told that those with yellow undertone skin should avoid wearing yellow, but I personally find it pretty flattering and love how fresh it looks against white and prints.

one. Classic high waisted ankle trousers

One of my favorite pants I own is cream, black and yellow. They are made of a flowing, light and beautifully draping all-season fabric. These were sold at shorter intervals for a while, but there was a large stock last year including the white that went fast! I’ve tried both the Petite and Short sizes and they usually measure and fit pretty much the same, so I can wear both. I usually wear these belts because the waist part is a little big for me. 2nd. Belted linen blend trousers

I love the waistband of these and the shorter ankle length! Compared to the pleated ankle pants described in #1, these are made of slightly thicker textured linen and come with a belt. I saw how short they looked on the model, which gave me hope that they would really fit above my ankle. The belt is a nice accent and is also practical to tuck in the waist for a more comfortable fit.

3. Silky Portofino blouse

i have both of them regular Portofino blouse Besides this silky version, the latter is great if you want something that is closer to the body and looks narrower. This style only comes in regular sizes, but the XXS regular size is slim and just the sleeves are a little long on me (see above).

4. Wider cut trousers

I also wanted to mention these for those looking for nude/beige pants (which are surprisingly hard to find in short lengths). These look a lot like a pair I bought earlier this year!
