Consider this: As a checkout shopper, you want to make sure your preferred payment method is available. We heard loud and clear that our vendors wanted to offer more payment methods to buyers. Why? Because it creates more opportunities for shoppers to complete a purchase, and it’s a win!
To that end, we’ve worked with our partner PayPal to make the full suite of payment methods available to Bonanza sellers with PayPal Business accounts.
PayPal Business Accounts Give Buyers More Ways to Pay
If one PayPal Business account, also known as PayPal Commerce Platform, you can offer shoppers more payment methods. In addition to standard PayPal payments and PayPal Credit payments, merchants with PayPal Business accounts that meet the Advanced Payment criteria can also accept non-branded credit card payments. This allows buyers without a PayPal account to easily purchase items from your booth using their credit or debit card.
How Will This Benefit You?
The PayPal business allows your booth at Bonanza to accept unbranded credit card transactions (meaning a buyer doesn’t have to log into their PayPal account to send you payment). Learn more about the difference between a Personal PayPal account and a PayPal Business account.
What do I need to do to offer these payment methods to my customers?
If you don’t have a PayPal Business account, you can: upgrade your personal PayPal account here.
If you already have a PayPal Business account but it is not linked to your Bonanza booth,Sales > Booth Settings > Payments and purchases” page.
Note: PayPal requires a Personal or Business account for your payments to be credited to your account. Bonanza does not store your PayPal password and does not have access to your private PayPal account.
Currently, our integration with PayPal does not support merchants in Israel (IL), Japan (JP), or Russia (RU). As all Bonanza sellers require PayPal, Bonanza cannot support sellers located in IL, JP or RU who do not have an active PayPal account registered in another country. We hope to welcome sellers in these areas as soon as we complete the PayPal integration.
Once your PayPal Business account is linked, you’ll see “Business with Advanced Payments” below the linked PayPal email.
Buyers will then be able to select “Pay by Card” at checkout and use their credit or debit card to send money to your PayPal account.
Instant Payment Notifications (IPN)
If you have a PayPal Business Account and want to use the Instant Payment Notification feature, you must enter the URL “https://notifications.bonanza.com/paypal” (without quotes) in your IPN settings.

Ukrainian Conflict
PayPal, along with Visa and Mastercard, announced that they are suspending their operations in Russia, citing the country’s continued occupation of Ukraine. This action will disable all Russian accounts on Bonanza. In a press release, Visa Chairman and CEO Al Kelly said, “After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for no reason and the unacceptable events we’ve witnessed, the company was forced to take action.” We regret the impact this has had on our valued colleagues and the world. Customers, partners, merchants and cardholders we serve in Russia. This war and the ongoing threat to peace and stability require that we respond in line with our values.” “Since the start of the invasion, PayPal has helped raise over $150 million for charities supporting response efforts in Ukraine, one of the largest efforts we’ve seen in such a short time,” PayPal said in a statement Friday.
