Over 50 Athleisure Wear – Style Editing

Happy Wednesday ladies. It’s no exaggeration to say that many of us are rethinking our fitness goals this time of year. Either you’re happy with yourself and you’re seeing great results, or you’re falling off the wagon like me and need to reconsider your commitment. Cindy and I for This Month’s 50+ Fashion Edits by Rhoda Southern Hospitality and share our thoughts on exercise and athletic wear over 50.

For most of us, there is no big difference between what we wear daily and what we wear to exercise. I’m not one of those women, so today I’m sharing what I wear for my walks, followed by stretching, and then some online lessons. For me, looking at the role helps me stay motivated.

I have long sleeves and usually need regular size tops but this hoodie is so long that I had to order the petite that fits perfectly. Really comfortable and warm. Ladies, petite, women and tall, sizes XS-XL are available. The top is a cape sleeve from the trendy Wearever Collection. It comes in a gray snake print pattern or this light blue color on sale.

My pants are Fit On The Go Slim Leg and are very comfortable. I have a few pairs of these lightweight, woven athletic pants and love that they take you shopping by adding a change of shoes and some accessories.

Mine Apple EarPods Regardless of the size of the silicone tips I use, they always fall out of my ears. This is driving me crazy so I’m excited to find it These ingenious little ear hooks holding them in my ears. How do people keep them inside while running if mine falls off while walking fast? For under $13 they’re worth their weight in gold.

I don’t run, so my shoes don’t need to be very special. For casual days when I’m not tearing the pavement, I love All Birds. Made from a super stretchy, lightweight, breathable eucalyptus fiber. Because the tops are knit, they stretch over my bunion and are also machine washable. White or light colored sneakers are always a challenge for me unless I can wash them. They come in tons of colors and styles. They even do non-slip water repellent sneakers.

My choice of shoes when I go for a brisk walk these New Balance Runners. They also have a knit top and are really padded. I wear a hat when the sun comes out. Recently, it has been It because it has a chin strap and we get a lot of wind. I always wear sunglasses even when it’s not bright because they help with watery eyes.
