what to wear to work in winter

Happy Monday! It’s been a long time since I did one of these. In recent months, I’ve had a few favorite finds that I’ve included in easy work-friendly outfits. These follow a pretty simple “formula” as usual and are easy to recreate with similar pieces in your wardrobe!

For more workwear ideas, check out these posts from last winter:

Monday: Flowy blouse + A-line skirt

The stylish draping on this top has made it an instant favorite to pair with both pants and skirts. I prefer it because it is a tighter cut top. wider cut trousers / Jeans or A-line skirts instead of fitted bottoms.

Midi skirt options:

Tuesday: Black Turtleneck Top + Cream Pants / Jeans
black and white timeless business attire

There’s something I love about a simple black and white pairing – or in this case, a winter cream. These pants jeans From Ann Taylor it’s different and VERY flattering from all the jeans I’ve ever owned. I’ve tried them with so many tops, from fitted tees to short jackets and oversized sweaters, and they all work.

The petite inseam of these jeans is 28″ making them much more wearable than most pant style jeans that are a few inches taller and require very high heels. I can wear these with my mid heel booties and kitten heels as pictured above. FYI, ascension For those who want something that’s higher than most Ann Taylor bottoms and just pretty high.I’ve found that using a contrasting black and brown slim belt helps to break up the rise visually!

Wednesday: Blue Buttoned Blouse + Camel Pants

These viral Zara pants remain a favorite and are worthy of a hug. They’re wildly popular for a reason – something about the waist seam and cut is so flattering and creates a sleek silhouette from waist to hips and legs too. These can also be worn with sneakers and a thick sweater for comfortable casual wear. I just bought these pants 2 more colorsbecause this pair of camels proved to be a favorite last year.

Thursday: Striped Top + Navy Blue Pants + Black Accessories

One of my favorite ways to combine navy is actually black, some might think it’s a blunder! I like to use both dark colors to create a stylish look with just a subtle contrast.

Friday: Blazer + Rib Top + Jeans + Loafers

This is my daily formula for being comfortable while looking flashy, and just the jacket is moving from cardigan sweater jackets to more structured blazers. These loafers are my go-to choice for flats that have more coverage and are comfortable from the first moment. I’m packing my stuff for a trip and I’ve packed both colors of these loafer shoes as my only shoes ever! And this is still one of my best sewn-on blazers, especially if you love a nautical-inspired button detail.
