I shared My Anniversary Sale picks I wanted to share some review-worthy photos of bags and shoes in all categories! This year I was very impressed with the outfits (many of them were tall and plus size) and I wanted to highlight products from previous years that have proven to be good:

- The classic leather crossbody or low-maintenance Longchamp bag.
First, I had my eye on you mini version For those who aren’t on sale for this Coach bag but are interested in this medium size (see photo above), it’s a timeless style that pays homage to the vintage Coach. I’m 5cm tall and would drill an extra hole or two in the diagonal strap for it to sit higher on me.
The best neutral booties: Blonde Waterproof Boots
I love Blondo for their waterproof boots that look nothing like “air” shoes. Of all the booties I tried, these were my top pick and the TTS (I ordered 5.5, tried 6 below). This “tan” is a perfectly versatile taupe and was comfortable to fit on my narrow, normal-width feet. For a longer bootie that fits snugly inside straight-cut jeans and trousers, Irina (runs smaller – size large) was super flattering but Tassel is more practical for me.
Shorter Shaft Riding Boat: Naturalizing Boots (2 colors)
It starts at sz 4 on both standard and wide calves! I’ve featured these a few times – the calf portion on these isn’t slim enough for someone with very narrow calves, but the height to do It fits comfortably under my knees. The boot itself also looks very comfortable and this is a look that never goes out of style.
If you have thin calves and you are short, definitely Edited Parts long boots.
Budget Friendly + Comfortable: BP Ankle Booties
These look like your standard ankle boots, but as soon as I tried them on, I noticed that the block heel here is wider and more supportive than most boots, so these don’t feel like wearing heels. These are VERY similar in cut and toe shape to a favorite pair of SM booties I bought two years ago. FYI, the “chestnut” color was more yellow than I expected personally, so personally I would have preferred gray or black.
Classic White Sneakers: Sam Edelman (under $60)
As an alternaive Everlane sneakers I always share, these are a clean cut option with a platform and work with both dresses and jeans. For me, install the TTS (5.5) and it felt comfortable. For those with low ankles that often rub against shoes, this hack it worked wonders on most of my sneakers!
Long Suede Boots: Vince Camuto Boots
*Never* would have bought these based on the stock photo. But in my local store Sam Edelman tall boots on my list, so I tried these on a whim and found it surprisingly flattering. The mile looks wide online, but I measured 5.5 calf circumference around 13.75 inches, which fits me neatly over thin jeans or leggings. They fit perfectly on my 4’11” friend who has athletic calves and hit them below her knees. The pointed toe front view is getting longer, but I’m not sure if the sculpted heel is my style, so I brought these home to think about it.
Luxury Choice: Aquatalia Weatherproof Boots (Save $200)
At a higher price point, Aquatalia makes some of the best weatherproof boots in simple, classic styles that will last forever. This style features an updated rounded square nose and is made of supple leather that stretches a bit. Shaft height and calf width are petite-friendly, but keep in mind that both measurements increase as foot size increases. TTS (I’m getting 5.5). Mine are from about 10 years ago (see fig. blog post) and still the most convenient and practical riding boots I have.
Water resistant lug sole boots: Caslon Chelsea Boots
Does not exceed size range – available in sizes 4 to 13, wide foot widths also available for black colour. These slightly chunky, on-trend lug-soled boots are still minimal and easy to style. She wore these a little over the past Fall-Winter for daycare gatherings and playgrounds, as they paired effortlessly with a simple pair of black leggings or jeans and a tunic sweater.
Entertainment Selection: Open Editing Mules
These are a more fun choice compared to the practical suggestions above, but I found these adorable and I’m a sucker for bare pointed flats. I bought a size 6 size up because the shoes are short.
Finally, expandable Longchamp bag it’s always a solid Anniversary Sale item and makes a great gift. Compact size makes it an everyday work or school bag and expands into a weekend/travel bag. Mine is still from ~8 years ago and has been in almost perfect condition since the outer wipes were cleaned. My choice is Marine navy blue as the expansion zipper is almost camouflaged in dark color, but this Beige was nice too!
