After reading your comments, messages, and emails, it seems that many AWSL readers are as much Nordstrom Rack fans as I am. I find it difficult to shop at their physical stores. I prefer to shop online from websites as the selection is much better and I can search by category. I think most of you agree. They carry so many great brands at prices you can’t beat. I’ve learned that the best things sell out fast, so if you see something you like, act fast. My latest Nordstrom Rack finds for May are fun pieces for spring and summer.
My Latest Nordstrom Shelf Findings: May 2023
1. Daniel Rainn Pleated Skirt
Skirts are comfortable and easy, especially in hot weather. I thought the earthy colors were beautiful throughout this vibrant floral pattern on this pleated skirt by Daniel Rainn. They don’t have the girly vibe that many prints have this time of year.
2. Wide Brim Fedora Hat
May is skin cancer awareness month and it is very important to protect your face and scalp from the sun while there are sunny days ahead! Sunscreen is mandatory, but hats do so much more. If you’re looking for a new sun hat, this wide-brimmed fedora from San Diego Hat is a great option. It has UPF 50+ and its wide visor offers plenty of coverage.
3. High Rise Crop Kick Flare Jeans
White jeans are a timeless part of many women’s spring/summer wardrobes. They are versatile and easy to pair with many tops. This pair is a slightly cropped hem with a 27″ inseam that will be the perfect ankle length for most of us.
4. Classic Striped Shirt
You can’t go wrong with a classic striped shirt like this one from Max Studio. The belt is great for accentuating your waist, or you can replace the included belt with a raffia or woven leather belt.
5. Sofft Verina Padding Sandals
Cushioned, supportive wedges are a comfortable option for those who want to be a little higher but can’t wear heels. Sofft is known for its foam-cushioned footbed and arch support. Metallics are always fun for spring or come in classic black.
6. Kudos to Kloth Boyfriend Shorts
If you’re shopping for casual shorts for the summer, these denim boyfriend shorts from Kut by Kloth are a great option. These have a 7″ inseam or you can cuff them. Sizes 0-16.
7. Vince Camuto Skin
I love the versatility of this Vince Camuto wrap. You can layer it over a nice dress for dinner or combine it with a tank top and trousers. These are great for throwing in your bag for the holidays and making great swimsuit covers. It also comes in a beautiful blue color.
8. Naturalizer Vivienne Ballet Flat

9. Classic Raffia Tote Bag
When the weather gets warmer, it’s time to lighten up the construction of our bag. Straw, wicker, canvas, and woven leather look better with warm-weather clothing than dark or plain leather. This raffia bag is a great size to carry all your essentials or take to the pool. I love the flat bottom and chain handle details.
10. Spring Blazer
This fun colorful blazer will make any outfit you wear on it shine. It comes in eight happy colors in sizes 00-14-16. I’m fond of pink, but the color spectrum also includes cream and off-white.
