Happy Monday ladies. People watching is one of the extra benefits of traveling that I love. I am constantly inspired to see how women gather themselves in different places for various events. When I changed planes in Dallas, the girls on the plane looked a little more stylish than the girls on the planes in Miami and San Diego. Overall, my impression was a lack of sameness, which was refreshing.
I also saw a lot of athletics at various levels of formality. The other thing that caught my eye was how many women were embracing the new messenger bags.
outfit of the week
When messenger bags became popular last year, I was sure this was a look I would never embrace. Now that I’m starting to see their charm, I’ve seen enough of them. They’re not much different from a crossbody, but have a slightly sportier feel. This is from Anthropologie It comes in four color options in a woven texture very popular for spring. I matched it perfectly light jacket (that’s what they call it), available in four colors, sizes XXS-3X classic, petite and tall. I really like blue, but I think this extra color has a more casual feel.

I love hats and wear them often…all but baseball caps. I’ve never found anyone who doesn’t look stupid to me. I’ve seen a lot of stylish women wearing them lately, so I want to find one that fits me. Yes, the shapes are all the same, but the atmosphere changes by color and fabric, so I’ll go hunting.
I didn’t see
Many women traveling in dresses were what I hadn’t seen… and I was specifically looking for them. I saw a couple of women wearing skirts, but it was rare. Many of the women have traveled, showcasing everything in stretch fabric pants, jeans, or the ever-popular workout leggings. Also, in my daily life, I don’t see many women dressed or wearing skirts. Are you wearing them? Do you want me to make more styles for you?
Easy Shrimp Appetizer
Our dinner group finally got back together over the weekend and it was so amazing. We are very close friends and have experienced life’s ups and downs together for over 40 years. Everyone brings something to contribute to the meal, but of course the hostess and host do most of the work. I brought a shrimp cocktail appetizer.
I’m not a big fan of the classic red cocktail sauce, so I make a hot wasabi sauce that’s always popular. It’s very simple, start with a medium bowl of sour cream and whisk a tube of wasabi paste to your desired temperature. To see, I told you this will never be a food blog 🤣.
This is always a Super everyday Get together where the goal is not to dress, but to catch up. One girl came with slippers (smart cookies) and another took off her slippers and put on her Sketches just before she arrived. It was everything these days.
I wore my favorite cardigan cashmere boyfriend cardigan over a warm crew neck sweater and a blouse with comfortable stretch pants and my new high top platform sneakers.
The platform makes them extra cushioned, and the double-stack sole gives me a 1 1/2″ height increase when completely flat. I love flatforms!

I do a tremendous amount to examine on the internet, so I thought it would be fun to share what caught my eye. The best stuff at Nordstrom Rack is sold out in the blink of an eye, That’s why I thought I’d share what I found while stocks are fully stocked.
