Monday Thoughts- Rethinking My Summer Wardrobe

[ad_1]

Happy Monday ladies. Our weather turned into scorching heat in the blink of an eye this weekend. While I was changing my warm weather clothes, I had to face the wardrobe items that I really didn’t like. My style is always evolving and I expect that, but it’s more complicated than that.

If your taste is structured and your weather demands are loose and breezy, I think it can be difficult to dress for your position. i live too A lot It’s a casual setting, so the polished splits I love to wear often look extravagant in my ensemble. When it’s 95+ and there’s no breeze anywhere, jeans like anything close to the body are out of the question. I want to be happy with what I’m wearing, so I’m looking for options that fit my climate, location/lifestyle and style.

I don’t like how I look in this robe (similar print) last year when I wore it to the beach in Hawaii, but I kept it because it was so perfect in the heat. I was grateful that I wore it at home yesterday, but I absolutely did not like the way I looked. When I bought this robe I knew it was a gamble but I took the risk because they suited so many other people… not just me.

THILBY – A FIELD GUIDE FOR A LIVING MIND, BODY AND SOUL

As I pay more attention to my health and well-being, I am thoroughly enjoying it. this is a nice new book. I sat in the heat with a cold matcha tea latte and plunged into the beautiful images along with their holistic suggestions.

ADAPTGENIC MATCHA LATTE

I’ve always been a black tea lover from start to finish. It turns out that green tea contains much more beneficial polyphenols, glycine and theanine, so I replace it with my afternoon tea. I ordered mine directly Dr Andrew Weil’s Matcha Kari site is herebut you can also find some of their products on Amazon.

To polish my modest caftan new Oofos sandals… and my goodness, do they ever relax? “The biomechanically engineered OOfoam absorbs shock, cradles your arches, and reduces pressure on your feet, knees, and back.” These are also not a look I would wear outside for my errands, but they’re perfect for wearing at home.

I’ve only been seen by my husband, son, granddaughter, and Amazon delivery guy in this outfit, but that was enough to make me feel out of style and not really myself. I will be looking for comfortable alternatives that are loose but not too baggy, airy but not too airy, and shapeless for the scorching hot weather, and this is more like my style.

Dress of the Week

EASY LINEN/COTTON SHIRTRESIN RING EARRINGSSANDALS WITH SLIDESCAT-EYED SUN VARIETIESWOVEN BAG

I bought this easy long linen/cotton blend beach shirt in vibrant blue last year and wore it piecemeal. I added resin earrings, a woven leather bag, and easy slides to make this a casual look that’s easy to wear on hot days. When it’s too hot, I give up necklaces and focus on earrings and/or bracelets. Add a big straw hat and I’m ready to go.

Is your climate preventing you from wearing the look you prefer?
