Monday Thoughts: A Little Whining and a Little Fashion

Happy Monday ladies. I jumped into wine country for a long-awaited visit with one of my favorite girlfriends. The joy of being with him reminds me how often I let work take priority over what shouldn’t be. Life balance is always a challenge when you love your job.

Very expensive

I want to whine a little. What happened to Banana Republic? I know they found a new designer who brings their aesthetics back to the roots of the brand. But what’s up!! Who are they designing for? All of the fabrics too much, everything. Sized for tough, extremely bulky and ultra-long models. She’s in trouble if she wants to wear the 5’4″ woman’s clothes.

Even her accessories are out of control. i adore this bag but I would never spend $450 on it. This bag is supposed to be around $200… if it is. I never see people shopping at my local store, which makes me wonder who is keeping this brand afloat. Their profits seem to have increased, which means I will no longer be their customer, which makes me sad. Okay, I stopped whining but this feels like when I found my favorite shade of lipstick and stopped making it.

New Findings

My husband swims laps every day and our pool towels are completely worn out. I ordered This And This I thought you’d give him a kick. I ordered these are for me because I’m not swimming… just walking around in the shade and reading by the pool :). While following up, I’ve been exploring and discovering other fun discoveries on the Nordstrom Rack this water bottle what I bought at full price.

I say read, but I’m listening to this book on Audible. This guy is great but makes the material very easy to understand. I love this book and love every second of it.

Splurge or Saving

Linen is on the rise in stores, so I thought it would be fun to splurge or save the outfit. I take off my sheets in preparation for the heatwave that I expect will soon hit us like a sledgehammer. The feel of these clothes is similar, but their price is quite different.

Neutral colored accessories make the dress stand out in both of these outfits. He would take you to lunch or a casual dinner and work with whites to run errands.
