Monday Musing- Being Petite and Pasty Legs

[ad_1]

Happy Monday ladies. To brighten things up a bit this week, I’m pondering random non-theme stuff… spring layers, being petite, which patterns suit us best, and having white legs.

Each brand has its own criteria for being petite. Most involve being 5’4″ and under, which includes me. Problem is, I have a long torso and arms so small arms anytime very short. The rise of many petite pants is too low for me (it increases the top of the bun), so it causes me to curl my pants.

All women can benefit from knowing and using a good modifier, but it’s great to find a garment you don’t need and this eraser fits everything.

I popped into my local Chico’s last week and ate them. remove this eraser I immediately took it off the mannequin so I could take it home. There weren’t any more in store, so I don’t know if they’ve been sold out or just started arriving. Whatever the reason, I didn’t want to miss this beauty.

I saw the same eraser in a pumpkin shade last year, but had to pass on it because the orange tones were lethal to me. They brought back this cool-toned green this spring, I couldn’t resist.

It’s also reversible, so I’ll take double duty from this. My husband prefers the animal print side, but my favorite is the floral side, which I don’t usually care for.

Style Tip- matching the scale of a print to the scale of your body is most flattering. Petite and small women look best in smaller prints, and taller or larger women look more flattering in larger prints. The rest of us all are best at medium prints. Wide gaps between the prints magnify that area on your body, so positioning is important.

I shared my new denim dress in mass email yesterday and many of you have bought it, so I decided to re-share it here for those who haven’t subscribed. I love to wear maxi-length sundresses in the summer. Their length is always a challenge for me, so I was very excited to find it. This petite. It looks great without the belt but I just got this wide, braided belt in navy blue and I like how they look together.

I wore it with super comfort, Gentle Spirits Wedge Sandals it worked, but for this summer I’m in the market for no ankle straps and ordered them.

bronzer

As things get warmer, I’m considering using bronzers this spring and summer. I use this Natural Glow by Jergensbut unfortunately, it is cruelty free so I need an alternative.

To be clear, Jergens does not test on animals, but is sold in mainland China and requests that it be tested for sale there. They allow testing on animals by a third party “where required by law”. As a result, dollars are more important than commitments not to support animal testing.

From the parent company website-

“We do not and will not test on animals in our cosmetic development and will not outsource this task to anyone.

These Tan-Luxe products are very popular, so instead of trying to teach this old dog new tricks with drops, I might have better luck with a lotion or butter, so I’ll both order and report back.

I’d love to hear which ones you like. Are there any cruelty-free bronzers you can recommend?

Thanks for reading ladies and don’t forget to wear what makes you feel safe.
