Monday Music: What I Really Weared Last Week

Happy Monday ladies. Our weekend was packed with events and the season has just begun. This Monday, I decided to get a little more personal. I design many outfits for you on the blog that are not my style, so today I thought I’d share with you my week and what I’m really wearing.

It may seem hard to believe, but I don’t buy a lot of new clothes, so there will be many sold out items in the clothes I wear, but I will do my best to find similar ones.

Monday’s kicked off, so I slipped my faux fur vest over jeans and a cashmere sweater with booties. Basically I did errands all day, then we had a dinner where we could watch world dramas. I’m not a big sports fan (unless my grandson doesn’t), but in most sports I like the playoffs. My cashmere sweater is as old as the hills in Everlane. here’s one a similar taupe color (and 12 other colors) are currently marked far below.

my vest from last year, but I think it was a top seller because Chico brought it back this year. I love how luxurious it feels. my booties also from last year and back in stock. The low, block heels are easy on my feet and I love how the browns set this outfit apart. These mom high waist black jeans it has straight legs and is super comfortable with lots of stretch. I bought this necklace at a small boutique in Port Townsend years ago and wearing it reminds me of the fun journey we took. I have to find a better way to display the necklaces because I keep forgetting what I have! Statement necklaces may be “out” but that won’t stop me from enjoying mine.

Tuesday was even cooler and I had a very long day in the dentist’s chair. I have several crowns that need replacing and this was just the first of many. remember what i said I wouldn’t wear The retro sneaker trend this fall? Ha! I found a comfortable pair and I really enjoy them. My cashmere sweater was from an outlet mall last year. similar color here, and faux leather pants are new. These have a straight leg and are full length with a 28 inch inseam. My scarf is very light, the texture is a blend of wool and cashmere. I have several that I find endlessly useful all fall and winter.

Thursday, I wore another cashmere sweater (see a pattern here?), wide-leg knit trousers and a denim jacket. I bought these pants from petite last year, (same fabric, narrower leg) and on them very sharp they’re so short, but I still love them because at least they’re not cropped. I’m ready for pants to go all the way through again because they keep my ankles warm and help my legs look longer. My shoes are old and super comfortable, similar here.

The denim jacket is the best seller of all time, but there are many models that look the same. I wore two Freshwater Pearl Baroque Lasso Necklaces, I folded. I love how versatile the lasso are because you can wrap them in so many ways. One of them is gray pearl, one is white. You’ll see a lot of me wearing these next season.

Friday was coffee and shopping with a friend. He warned me it would be cold to sit and chat at Pete’s house, so I grabbed my fedora, fingerless cashmere gloves, and my award-winning Meiko Metz vest. This vest is a handmade beauty that I was sent to share with my readers while working at Artful Home. Similar here. I couldn’t love this vest more so I wear it sparingly, which, as I thought, is the opposite of what I should be doing!

Saturday was rainy and cool. After spending most of the day at home, we went to our friends’ house for dinner and to watch a baseball game. I wore a pair of jeans, retro sneakers, a thin puffer vest, and my Jennifer pearl necklace. Here is the story of my Jennifer necklace. Pearls and jeans are always right in my book, especially the modern ones.

I have had a burgundy bucket bag for many years and love its unique shape. I can’t find the woven one but this one is like shape and color. These barely boot jeans One of my favorite shapes from Talbots. Now I have them medium wash blue and black. My vest is from last year to this year colors are here.
