Monday Music – Travel & More

[ad_1]

Happy Monday ladies. I’m feeling restless and a little rebellious this week. Skin and sun care, travel, autumn fashion are always on my mind. It’s been scorching months for months when I get home, but the colder weather here in Vancouver gives me fall dreams.

Travel

I’ve always wanted to see the Maritimes, so we finally booked a cruise for the end of summer. Our last cruise Viking Riverboat Back in 2019 and it’s time to travel again. I know travel isn’t for the heartless these days due to flight delays and Covid concerns, but I’m tired of waiting because life can be so much shorter than we expect. Even though it’s been over two months, I’m starting to think about what to pack. I’m thinking of bringing in lots of jersey knits, light layers and neutral colors.

I’m trying to persuade my husband to take a long trip, but we haven’t come to a conclusion yet. How fun would it be to rent an apartment abroad for a month. I think of Italy, Spain or Portugal. A friend of mine goes to Venice every year for a month or more, that sounds great! Have you ever done anything like this before? We no longer have a dog keeping us at home, so now is a great time to try such an adventure.

I freely admit that I am sunscreen obsessed.

My daughter brought a set of gorgeous sunscreens from France and I dived deep into them. I’ve never heard of SVR brand and how i love this sunscreen. SVR is a French dermo-cosmetics brand that has been in existence since 1962. It made me realize how wide the range of products we are not exposed to here.

Dress of the Week

CASHMERE SWEATER / PALAZZO JEANS / loafers / CROSS BAG / NECKLACE / JENNY BIRD EARRINGS

As reflected in this week’s OOTW, the ’70s are definitely on trend. I got married in the ’70s, so frankly, I wore these styles on their first tour. Some say that if you wear a trend for the first time, you shouldn’t wear it again. Hmmm… do you follow these “rules”? I definitely won’t.

BTW, this OOTW is part of most N sales.

Camel, brown and gold aren’t on my official color palette but I love them and won’t let myself limit what I’m wearing this fall. I think what’s on my mind the most this week is to do and wear what I want, regardless of any rules.

How committed are you to dressing in a set color palette?

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to wear what makes you feel safe.
