Monday Music – Skirts and Overload

[ad_1]

Happy Monday ladies. Our weekend seemed to go by quickly and I feel like I’ve accomplished very little. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

I am listening do nothing It’s on Audible, and it’s pretty eye-opening.

I’m pretty sure you’d find my name if you overslept in the dictionary. Part of it is my job, part of it is being a woman. It has long been said that we can do anything, in fact, we try. Multitasking is natural to me, and I have a hard time doing something unhealthy every time.

skirts

How many of you are wearing it? I rarely do, and I wonder why because they are infinitely more comfortable than most jeans or trousers. Don’t they feel as modern as pants?

I have 2 denim skirts and a maxi skirt that I wore in Hawaii, which got a lot of wear in the rough weather. Maxi skirts are a little more uncomfortable when you move a lot, but they cover leg imperfections and look great with flat shoes. Shorter skirts reveal your legs, but so do shorts and crop tops. Chunky shoes work well with long skirts, but not as pretty on short skirts.

I love the rocking shape and length this

Denim skirts are on trend for spring in all shapes and lengths. They look more casual than other skirts so I tend towards them. I prefer my denim skirts in the form of skirts, not as if they were made from a pair of diagonally front-stitched jeans.

What do you think about wearing skirts? Are they in your wardrobe and are you reaching for them?

De Quervain’s tenosynovitis

About doing too much… Earlier last year I developed De Quervains tenosynovitis. It is painful swelling of certain tendons of the thumb and wrist. My doctor named it thumb texting because it results from chronic overuse of the wrist and thumb. Last year I had a steroid shot that miraculously cleared for 10 months. Now I can inject another steroid but I know it’s not a permanent solution so I’m back to PT and wearing a splint. Ugh… probably because of how I type and use my phone.

This is how I drink my tea, I hold my makeup brush and pencil, I brush my hair and teeth, I really hold everything. Opposite thumbs are pretty important! I tried acupuncture and he suggested I start doing a lot more with my left hand…which I’m incredibly clumsy at.

I’m really trying to revisit my thoughts on skirts, so I’d love your input.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to wear what makes you feel safe.
