Monday Music – Crepey Skin, House Update and Outfit of the Week

Happy Monday ladies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. This week, I’m thinking about crapy skin, sharing a home update, and outfit of the week.

I noticed that the skin on my arms and legs looked more frightening than ever before. My knees took on a Shar-Pei look that would have been funny if it hadn’t been discouraging. While updating a post from last year, I was shocked by the difference a year can make! Sun damage, estrogen deficiency, aging, stress, lack of hydration, and a host of other factors contribute to crepe skin, which is more common in hot weather.

I’ve always applied a good moisturizer to myself twice a day, but that’s not enough anymore. Retinol products are supposed to help improve its appearance, which is why I’m back to use this. It’s not wild as it contains neurotic, mineral oil in me, but it’s cruelty-free and contains lots of good stuff like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, green tea, and chamomile for redness. I appreciate the price as I will use it everywhere. This is the Paulas Choice option it has cleaner components, but is much more expensive. I will finish this tub before trying other products.

Dress of the Week

This week’s outfit consists of a pair of comfy trousers/leggings, easy woven slippers, a long linen vest with a back closure, woven crossover straps, and fun jewelry. The pieces are in easy-to-wear neutral colors that will mix and match with many other pieces.

These pants look more like leggings that many women fear. I think leggings can be worn stylishly and success or failure is all in style. I ordered these woven sandals It’s on 9 1/2 and I found they run a little big so I reordered the 9 as they were so comfortable!

Home Update

We decided to redo most of our landscaping. It seems that the outside house drains swell in the middle of the courtyard instead of flowing into the street. No wonder it floods the garden when it rains. There are two sprinkler systems installed and half of them are not working. Low spots need a French drain and we need some lighted paths to navigate the garden safely. We will remove ugly bushes, rooted trees and add roses.
