Happy Monday ladies. Today I ponder color and the myriad ways it affects our appearance.
Color Podcast
My last month’s color is draped SciART color analyst and trainer, Terry WildfongIt was nothing but an eye opener. I sat in a neutral gray room, wearing a neutral gray robe and head covering. Everyone in the room was wearing a neutral gray robe, as the color reacted to the colors around it. There were multiple full spectrum lamps for real light and I came across a mirror.
I watched colors float down my shoulders, causing my face to bleed or my eyes to droop. I found that warm colors make my skin look pale. I saw the colors that showed I was wearing lipstick and I saw the one that matched me.
Terry explained that he could definitely remove my red spots, but when they went through, it came at a price. The truth is, I have red spots on my face, and the colors that fade them are pulling out other colors from my face as well, turning the outside of my eyebrows orange. The purpose of color analysis is to show you which colors suit you best because they are compatible with you… they shouldn’t change you.

Foundation, blush, and concealer are all baked in so you apply them with a swirl of kabuki brushes. I was surprised at its coverage, but I was more surprised by the colors. they sent me Cult Classic Full Face Kits, This isn’t what I normally choose for my coloring, but they blended beautifully and piqued my interest to try other things in the range. Many women consider this kit a complete makeover, but I added it. My tinted eyebrow gel in ‘Ash Blonde’, Soft gray eyeliner in ‘Alloy’and favorite mascara to complete the look. The line is pretty broad and has sold a lot of places.
