Happy Tuesday ladies. On my last trip to Nordstrom, I stumbled upon a model dressed in an unusual combination and was wondering what you would think. I like to think I’m as creative as the next girl when combining separate outfits into one outfit, but this outfit is outside of my comfort zone in style. Here’s what I tried to reshape a cross cut skirt.
The slant fit shirts are cut on a 45 degree diagonal vein so there is more stretch and hugs the curves of the body.
I find it difficult to fit side cut skirts right on my hips. I need to size it so that they cover properly. I’m wearing a small that doesn’t have enough room on the hips so don’t think it’s a bad fit.
I found a tank in a similar blue color, but I’m not crazy about this look. Seems too nude to me. Then I tried this cashmere sweater that was miles big for me and tucked it at least 8 inches around my waist. I prefer this ratio, but the cashmere is so thin that my bare bra is right in the middle.
then i tried this is silk cowl neck top short cape sleeves. I put it on with a Pima cotton cardigan because cloak sleeves are very unattractive to me. This was getting close to my style but I’m not crazy about the cardiac with the soft flowy skirt and top. Finally, I tried a soft but structured one, thin silk blouse, tied casually at the waist. It’s an XL and it’s too big for me, but it draped so well, so this was my favorite of the 4 styles I tried.
What ideas come to your mind when you think of designing a bias skirt?
