Maxi Denim Skirt Dress – A Well Styled Life®

Happy Monday ladies. It was cold and almost stormy on the weekend, which I really liked. There’s nothing like autumn weather to make me think about cleaning out my closet. Today I have the maxi denim skirt combination of the week and some thoughts on rejoicing.

I think most of us have a lot of clothes in our wardrobe and that brings together the clothes we put together. really happy with more difficult. I’m not talking about an outfit that we are happy with or even like. I’m talking about an outfit that illuminates us. Someone who truly pleases us.

The older I get, the less I want to feel mediocre about my clothes. Of course, not all of them will be home runs, but I want more of them to have something special. The base of my wardrobe consists of classic pieces. If I’m not careful, I lean too far into them and neglect to add unique pieces that spice it up. I used to rely on small, independent boutiques to find myself. treasures, but these days they are very few.

I have three big bags and clothes ready to donate and I’m not done yet. Any unextracted categories are my accessories. Often times it’s the special pieces that add spark to my outfits. And because my tastes have changed, I’ve learned to hold on to my accessories even though I haven’t worn them in 30 years.

Every fall, I look forward to emails and articles suggesting that the MVP to have in your wardrobe should be a black faux or genuine leather Moto jacket. They’re everywhere and available at all price points.

I love how cool they look on others but I’ve never had one and I don’t expect to be. It’s one of those iconic classics that’s often included in a wardrobe essentials list… but we know these lists need to be personalized for our own style recipe.

Mine never included a black leather moto jacket because:

• they are usually tough
• usually shiny… which improves the appearance of my skin texture
• and I have a harsh air that I don’t aspire to

I like to have a cool vibe in my outfits, but I’ll have to make do with a faux or real suede motorcycle jacket… as long as it’s not overloaded with snaps and zippers.

Dress of the Week

This week’s OOTW is soft black (velvet softens black), with plum and some fun textures.

A few years ago I had a velvet denim style jacket and it was very worn. The fabric significantly increased the rate of entertainment. I hope to open it in my closet as soon as possible.
