There are loads of great basic booties this year (as opposed to the piles of white booties they had last year). If you’re wearing wide-leg trousers, trousers, or flared/wide-leg jeans, I think some point is essential – but proper leg length is key! For my clumsy $0.02, I’ve always found it easier to navigate a thick heel than a stiletto with pants and trousers, but this is me!

Tall boots are coming back – this year we’re seeing very thin, tall stiletto heels from big brands like this. Reiss And Marc Fisher LTD. (and like imitators matisse), while more weekend-friendly brands paige And All Saints they stick to thicker heels. I’m interested to see the brown/tan trend continue (great to wear barefoot in the fall (know your office)) and also slouchy boot trend. There are also some over-the-knee styles that I think are great for the weekend and possibly your office. (There is huge variation in what is acceptable based on your city, career, and office culture; OTK styles, long-soled toe boots, or (sigh) probably know yours before you wear tights or pantyhose for days.)
