Lines for Spring Dressing Room Diary

Good Friday ladies It’s officially March, so it’s special and linen time. I’m kidding, but good things are coming early, so I thought I’d show you some of the spring lines popping up at my local Nordstrom.

If you’re new here, welcome. A dressing room diary, when I walk into a store and try new products so you can see what it looks like on a woman over 25. For reference, I’m 5’4″ tall and weigh around 138lb with broad shoulders and straight hips. I have a long torso and arms so I usually buy one size larger. I’m trying on clothes in shapes I’m telling you what sizes I’m wearing to help you understand how things work.

These linen pants A great foundation every year from Nordstrom. They have pockets and a drawstring waist, making them easy to wear in hot weather. They have a high rise and come in petite and regular sizes XXS-XXL. I’m wearing a small regular. this The navy option is here.

this cardigan Light and airy cotton/35% viscose/nylon blend. Available in 3 colors as XS-XXL, plus size is here. I regularly wear small. The size of the tank is XS-XXL, I wear a size small.

I was thrilled to find loads of white jeans on the shelves because nothing makes the hot weather look like a great pair of white jeans. These belong to Caslon and it comes in white, black and 2 blue washes. The rise is high and sizes 00-18 have a lot of stretch. White flies through the door so I had to settle for this number 10 which was too big for me. They feel awesome and look a lot more expensive than their $49 price tag.

This side-ventilated cotton blend tunic comes in 4 colors, sizes 00-18. I wear small so I think it works generously.

This pullover jacket comes in petite and regular sizes XXS-XXL. I regularly wear small so it sticks to size. The tank comes in 3 colors, petite and regular sizes XS-XXL. I’m wearing a small regular and the bottom is folded under about 4″ because it’s pretty long on me.

This organic cotton blend fitted v-neck cardigan It comes in 7 gorgeous colors in sizes SSX-XXL. I’m wearing a medium size that feels loose on me so it works out generously. I love this length of cardigan over a dress because it shows a bit of the waist without hiding your shape. v-neck t-shirt It comes in 7 color sizes, XXS-XXL. I’m wearing medium.

Side slit capris come in 4 colors, size 00-18. I’m wearing size 8. They recommend getting one size smaller as it stretches as you wear it.

This split neck tee is a nice weight that is opaque, I appreciate that. 3 colors come in size XXS-XXL, I wear small. Made from a blend of spandex and organic cotton. These slim-cut jeans are a pull-on style area with a nice straight leg. They have a 29″ inseam that I turned to 1″ gold. They are thick enough to be opaque.

Here same Caslon jeans I showed it above, this time in a dark blue wash. This size 8 fits me much better than size 10. The salesperson made me a size 6 and this size fit me perfectly and came home with me. The website says they work great, but I couldn’t find it. I guess it depends on how tight you like your jeans :).

This cotton/modal striped hoodie comes in 4 colors in sizes XS-XXL. I could have tried navy blue and white, but this red and white seemed more fun to me. It’s a decent shape, so I sized it to a medium size.

this stretch organic cotton jacket It comes in 3 colors in sizes XXS-XXL. I wear one size small so it works generously. It’s as soft as a sweatshirt and a terrific third coat for spring. The V-neck t-shirt comes in stripes in 13 colors and sizes XXS-XXL. It’s translucent so I prefer colored rather than white.
