Linen Cardigan Cotton Pants Dress

[ad_1]

Good Friday ladies I suddenly realized that I have an option in my wardrobe to replace my jeans this summer. I actually have 3 pairs and wore them all on our mountain trip last weekend. I’ve never been a gypsy girl, but this idea obviously grows inside of me. Today, I’m sharing how I styled my cotton pants outfit with a linen cardigan for dinner at Gar Wood’s.

now i have these Riviera Slim pants In 2 colors and couldn’t love them more. My almond tinted ones went through the washer and dryer (had to be hung to dry) and came out fine. They shrunk a teeny/small bit, but for me they were on the large side so it worked. This orchid color is so fun and I’m seeing it everywhere this summer.

Style tip and note on color trends– I passed a group of women leaving our hotel dressed for a wedding on a Sunday afternoon. One was wearing a gorgeous 2-piece suit in this exact shade of Orchid. I knew it was a new outfit as this color was on trend. Neutrals don’t flirt, so it’s something to keep in mind when investing in stylish outfits that you’ll keep in your wardrobe for years to come.

I wore these Ann Taylor mixed jersey tanks for years. The woven front elevates it from a standard tee with just a touch. They have a straight hem so look pretty as they are zipped. They also move away from your torso and drape nicely.

I bought this Eileen Fisher linen cardigan. similar here, and here, and here. for at least 15 years. I don’t think I’ve worn it over the past few summers, but it’s a timeless piece that I hold onto. I don’t agree with people telling you to take things out of your wardrobe that you haven’t worn in the past year. Investment and timelessness look different for every woman’s style, and you need to stay true to yourself.

My third cotton trousers that I wore over the weekend but couldn’t find a photo of. these cotton tiles From the Banana Republic Factory. They also went through the washer and dryer, but needed some steam to get the bottoms straight. These were made specifically for the BR Factory. They fit so well and you can’t beat the price for under $40.

Many of you recommended us to eat at Gar Woods and we decided to give it a try. We sat on the back deck with a view of the water, enjoying an amazing meal as the sun went down. Funny aside, they just printed their menu, added Alaskan Halibut, and it looks like I was the first to notice it was misspelled :). I miss most of my own typos, it’s weird that I don’t notice others.

Do you have a timeline for cleaning clothes from your wardrobe?

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to wear what makes you feel safe.
