My job keeps me in stores more than most women, which gives me a unique perspective and often extreme fashion. when i see a lot sameness, over and over again, it sounds frustrating and sometimes frustrating. Part of it might be the department or store I’m in. But the ones that stand out the most are the styles I don’t like. Did you notice this?
On Sunday, I spent some time in the denim section of my favorite store and was shocked by the sheer number of denim offers that were worn, faded, distressed, and outright destroyed. I know many women wear and love the confident look. But unfortunately it’s not something I wear so I felt overloaded and like a fish out of water. If there was a fashion I loved to wear, I might feel overwhelmed but in a positive way.
If I was presented shelf after shelf this sweater I would be overloaded, satisfied, and gradually bored with the myriad of colors and subtle stylistic variations. Anyway… I moved on to the shoe department, which had its own challenges.
My update on my life is that I’m in Vancouver for a quick visit with Vanessa. I’m going to do a little Pug sit-down of her aging fragile little dog with some health issues. I hope I’ll stop by more Canadian stores while I’m here, and also shop at Canadian Nsale, which I’m excited to see. The offers are often quite different.
In other news, I am an Amazon Prime member and Prime Days they are here. I usually don’t buy too much during this discount as I’ve done enough damage without the incentive :). But… Today I am going to stock up on some of my favorite beauty deals that are seriously marked.
I take a walk around the Seawall to get some fresh air.
Be a good lady and remember to wear what makes you feel safe no matter what others say or do. If you love distressed jeans, rock them with a smile!
