Happy weekend! These yellow sailor pants caught my eye on Shopbop but apparently there are tons of colors and patterns in many stores. I think on this model where they hug – about 2-3″ above the ankle bone – looks perfect.

Yellow is a fun color to wear – an obvious choice for a white top, but navy and gray are great too. This stripe could also be a fun pattern to mix with another pattern – I could see a small floral pattern being fun, maybe even a little texture like a ball or eyelet with batik or embroidered details. For my $0.02, I would avoid wearing it with another geometric pattern like windowpane, another stripe like Breton, or a pattern that’s too “normal” like polka dots – but that’s just me.

(A yellow top like the one pictured would also be great, but I find it hard to wear yellows together unless they’re exactly the same shade. Orange or red would be good options as well.)
