Good Friday ladies. Whatever your style recipe, adding a little trend to your wardrobe every season will keep it looking fresh and modern. The head-to-toe trend looks tragic on most women and is a costly way to update your look. Let’s take a look at the wearable fall 2022 trends for women over 50 today.
Wearable trend – Flare Jeans and Pants
These range from super-wide ones that pop out as you walk, to narrower ones that resemble a boot that universally compliments all women. Unlike wide-leg jeans that are wide below the hips, a flare should flare slightly from the knee down. Read item descriptions to make sure they are what they are.
You’ll also see plenty of flared leggings and workout pants. Most flares come in very tall sizes, so I’d be wary of small options if you’re not tall. They look best by covering the top of your foot, shoe or boot extending the look of your leg. Petite options also mean the flare is slightly narrower; this is more flattering if you are short. Highs are falling, but most flares have a higher high.

Move on the moto jacket; this fall it’s all about the bomber jacket. They show up in cropped and oversized versions as well as the classics that hit just below your waist. You’ll find them in cotton, faux leather and suede, silk and satin fabrics. Heavier fabrics can magnify the appearance of your torso and shoulders, so be mindful of their weight. Their shape is also flattering with flares that add width to the base. I’m excited to see this shape back because I have a velvet shape that I adore and can’t wait to reveal it this fall.

Leather and faux leather jackets, blazers, skirts, dresses, and trousers abound in the fall. Faux suede gives your skin a softer look than shiny leather, so keep that in mind.

Now, more than before, I’m glad I got it these crop faux leather pants. Real or artificial leather that tightens the skin does not give the message I want, but these do. Black has an edgy vibe that I love and now I see they have a stunning blue and gorgeous orange!

Bright colors are here to stay in fall. The last few years have helped many of us realize how joyful colors can be. When it gets dark, bright colors are the perfect tonic to lift your mood. It’s shown from head to toe, but the color blocking also works and still looks on-trend. If black and plain colors are more your style, you can get a dose of happy color with a little accessory.

Blazer jackets are always popular in the fall; This year, the plus size blazer is trending. This would be a great piece to add for women who are loose, comfortable and plus-size in their style recipe. They’re structured but unhurriedly to suit someone who likes a boho aesthetic or a sporty, understated look that borrows from men’s vibes.

Petite women can find this trend too much or, conversely, taller women can easily be pulled off with a regular cut blazer. A small heel or platform will be helpful when looking for ones that don’t have a lot of fabric to swallow you up.
BIGGER BLAZER

Shoe-soled loafers have been on trend for several years and are continuing this fall. The good news here is that they offer extra cushioning for your feet, so they’re comfortable to wear. A heavier weight shoe like this one looks great with flares that are popular and will balance with a maxi. Beware of very thick soles that are not flexible as these can eventually slip off your heel and this is awkward to wear.
