We haven’t had a discussion about easy makeup to have on your desk (or purse) for a while – what are your favorites to have on hand? I would define “easy” as products that go with everything (and even add on to existing makeup) and don’t require a lot of brushes or additional products (e.g. eyelash glue).

These are some of my favorites – what are yours?

The best Easy Makeup to Keep on Your Desk

illuminating concealer in gold tube

I still really like Touche L’Éclat – it’s more sheer than many concealers and also illuminating, so it’s a great way to freshen your eyes before going to dinner at the desk or even before a lunchtime meeting.

Pharmacy scammers: I heard that $6 elf concealer It is a near-perfect copy (available at: Amazon And ULTA)- I will try.

cream blush in a pink stick

we became fans NARS Multi They’ve been faithful for a long time – and now have a “limited edition” version of their base color, Orgasm. In more recent years, they have come out with a liquid blush version of this – I think it was a bit too sheer and runny so I prefer the stick version, but that’s me.

The great thing about it is that it’s not just a cheek color, but a soft, pretty pink that goes well with your eyes – it just adds a touch of buildable color. Beautiful.

three Chubby lipbalm sticks with silver end caps on both sides

I’ve said it before but I love my Chubby sticks from Clinique. They add lasting color to your lips or cheeks, moisturize and are very easy to apply as most MLBB shades are. I have never had stick breakouts on me like lipsticks sometimes do.

I’m a big fan of Graped Up and Whole Lot of Honey for my pale skin (both MLBB for me); I also love Sensual Violet for its slightly darker mauve color. I also have the Broadest Berry from the Intense series and I’ve been shooting it more and more.

(Broadest Berry is particularly easy to apply with the “French method”, where you just dab your lip color in the center of your lips and then distribute it to the outer corners with your fingers or a brush. Then, blot (and repeat if you want more color) and go. Also, VERY interesting – I would describe it as red, Clinique would describe it as violet and Temple describes it as “beige plum.”)

Buy at: Nordström, clinic, Macy’s, sephora, ULTA

Dupe: I haven’t had much luck with the colors available in the drugstore ranges, so I’d recommend waiting for one of the frequent sales at Clinique that Nordstrom and other major department stores have. However neutrino And Burt’s Bees both currently have similar products in theory.

3 in 1 eyebrow

Until my early 30s, I didn’t realize that if I’m going from the table to dinner, my brows also need frequent reconditioning – you don’t want to overdo it, but it makes a huge difference.

To this end, I was originally going to propose Estee Lauder multi-brow tool – However this is NYX looks even better. It has a brow shade like powder, pencil and mousse.

mister with sunscreen

This (re)fixing mist not only resets your makeup but also adds a refreshing mist of SPF 40.

Where to Buy: Amazon, Goop

Pharmacy copies: All copies are almost as expensive as the original (original $20, copies $13-18) – so you might want to stick with the original. If you’re still looking for another option, check it out this Milani spray, this is Pacifica spray on target or this $12 spray at ULTA. This $5 NYX spray it doesn’t contain sunscreen, but it was an Allure beauty award winner and allegedly contains electrolytes to “replenish” your skin.

BONUS SYMPTOMS:

Mascara refreshing product in a mint green tube

I haven’t tried this, but I’ve never seen anything like it — ULTA It has a special MAC product which is “dry shampoo mascara refresher”. I feel like my lashes are clumping after a few hours of use – but from experience I know that adding more mascara on top is often a disaster. INTERESTING.
